Commercial Street
Our tour begins at MacMillan Pier, next to the parking lot. You’ll see a wooden boardwalk leading onto the pier. To get started, stand so you’re facing directly away from the pier. You’ll see a grey wooden house on the other side of the street. Begin crossing towards it. * Note: The tour is over 1.3 miles long, with more than 20+ audio stories, and takes about 1-2 hours to complete. New, Lifetime access, no expiry. In service from 1875 until 2009, the Pharmacy was the oldest business operating in the same Provincetown location. With twirling stools and a soda fountain, this joint didn’t just dole out prescriptions -- it was also a popular hangout spot. Allegedly, the pharmacy’s most famous customer was playwright Tenneesee Williams. If you’ve heard of “A Streetcar Named Desire”, you’re heard of Tenneesee Williams.

Introduction to Provincetown history.
Interesting information on a few of Provincetown's buildings. Great walk on a dreary day in late April. I would not recommend this as a driving tour as Commercial Street is dangerously busy in the summer, and not was a walking tour in mid summer due to the amount of people on the sidewalks and in the streets, but late April - it was perfect.

One of the coolest apps I've used for the audio tour
The audio walking tour was perfect for us because we prefer walking at our own pace, not being on a tour bus. The app we had to download tracked our location as we listened, so we knew which part of the tour it was talking about. Very cool. We may do this again in a different town/city.
