A fascinating walking tour
A great walking tour. Artan was a friendly and very knowledgeable guide, an expert in local history and town planning, who spoke good English and was able to tell me a lot about Durrës’s history over the centuries. Would definitely recommend.

Outstanding tour of the history of Durres.
Outstanding experience. Artan is incredibly knowledgeable and is able to bring to life the history of Durres, from antiquity to present day. He was totally open to our many questions and able to discuss culture, education, and urban planning in the city (and the country). We were so impressed. Be prepared to learn so much!

Walking Tour totally delivers.
What a great couple of hours with our guide Artem. He is superbly knowledgeable about the history of Durres and its strategic importance to Albania. This walking tour takes you round the city and points out all the important landmarks and buildings and the history behind them all. It started at 10am so not too hot to walk about and he kindly did a water stop for us to keep us going. I would highly reccom3nd this tour if you want to find out a little more about the country you are visiting. Really nice way to wander about Durres and learn some stuff.

Must do tour in Durres
We took this tour with Artan who is a super nice guy and extremely knowledgeable on Durres and Albanian history. The tour (which is only for small groups) is centred on the old town so not physically challenging. It is an area where we were based but we were previously oblivious to the significance of many of the buildings and street layouts. Artan has grown up in this part of Durres and has many personal family stories which really brought home life here during WW2 and the communistic period.
