Do Yourself a Favor and Book This Tour
Our day trip with Hugo was definitely a highlight of our visit to Porto. We visited a hidden gem coffee shop in a small town for breakfast before heading to an amazing family owned vineyard in Porto. The owner of that vineyard taught us so much about how to tell the difference between various Vinho Verdes and the wines were amazing. One more stop for lunch at a cute restaurant where we had some cats come up and spend some time with us. After that we went to the second vineyard which was a smaller individual endeavor where we tried some wines and even bottled a few! I can’t begin to express how incredible Hugo and this tour are. If you’re looking for a great tour with hidden gems of vineyards where you can get personalized experiences, Hugo’s your man.

Vinho verde wine tour
Hugo from “Let’s Kombi”, exceeded our expectations. Coming from California/USA and experiencing many a wine tasting, we wanted to try something different on our first trip to Portugal. We chose a tour/lunch in the Vinho Verde region not too far from Porto. This turned into an all day event. We learned so much, from local history to new things about food and wine. The day started after an hour drive with coffee and pastries, followed by a wine tasting a little later, then lunch and then one more tasting. Two tastings was more than enough. Each one provided a different experience. Thumbs up to Quinta da Raza and Chão Do Rio. The connection we made with Hugo will definitely be revisited when we come back again and tour the Douro Valley with him.
