Great day in Valparaiso

Josefina was a superb guide. We learned so much about Chile, Valparaiso, and the Valparaiso region just on the drive to the coast from Santiago. We saw and learned even more on our walking tour of Valparaiso, which focused on the amazing street art and the events and history reflected in that art. We had a fabulous and memorable lunch at a gorgeous winery on the way back to Santiago. It helps that Josefina, in addition to being very smart and well-informed, with excellent English, is also so personable. It was a pleasure in itself to spend time with her and left us with a deeper appreciation of Chile and Chileans.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this message, it really means a lot to us. Josefina will be very happy to read this. She puts a lot of care into sharing not just the places, but the stories and context behind them, so it’s great to know that came through. I’m especially glad you enjoyed the mix of Valparaíso’s street art, the history, and that winery stop on the way back, it’s one of my favorite ways to experience that day. Hope to see you again in Chile someday. Un abrazo,

Street-art, wine, and a perfect day

We had a great day touring Valparaíso and visiting a winery in Casablanca with Paloma. She was very flexible and showed us all the main street art spots and viewpoints in Valparaíso in a really efficient way. Lunch at Tres Peces was a fantastic pick. Paloma was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience easy and fun.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m really happy you enjoyed Valparaíso, the winery visit, and that Paloma made the day smooth, flexible, and fun. Thanks for the kind words

Great day tour !

Josefina was out tour guide and we had a wonderful experience! She was very knowledgeable and provided a wonderful tour. We visited Las Santiago (Nerudas house) and then a walking tour of the street art in Valparaiso. She timed things perfectly for lunch and avoiding the funicular ticket lines. Would highly recommend for private tour!

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing this! We’re really happy you enjoyed the day with Josefina. She loves what she does and it shows. Visiting La Sebastiana and then exploring Valparaíso’s street art is a great combo, and it’s great to hear the timing worked perfectly. Hope to see you back in Chile for more adventures!

Private Valparaíso Day Tour with Wine or Coast Option: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santiago.

How much does Private Valparaíso Day Tour with Wine or Coast Option cost?

+

Prices start at $118 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santiago usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Valparaíso Day Tour with Wine or Coast Option take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santiago is not rushed.

Is Private Valparaíso Day Tour with Wine or Coast Option worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santiago, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Valparaíso Day Tour with Wine or Coast Option?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Valparaíso Day Tour with Wine or Coast Option suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Private Valparaíso Day Tour with Wine or Coast Option?

+

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santiago can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santiago and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Valparaíso Day Tour with Wine or Coast Option start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santiago within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Santiago?

+

On Outty we rank every Santiago experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Maipo Valley Wine Tour with 4 vineyards from Santiago., Valparaiso Port and Viña del Mar with Casablanca Wine Tasting, Santiago: Valparaiso, Viña del Mar & Casablanca Wine Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Santiago?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Santiago?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
