Valparaiso was the highlight

Our English speaking guide was incredibly knowledgeable and well versed on the history and sights of Chile, along with the driver who safely drove us and would wait for us at the particular sights. We loved the boutique winery visit, along with the Pablo Neruda house/audio tour. But the highlight was walking Valparaiso! What a beautiful and artistic city! Our only regret was lunch - a beautiful venue, (but it was expensive with average food) and we wished we would have skipped lunch and so we would have spent more time walking in Valpo.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed exploring Valparaíso and Viña del Mar with our guide and driver, and that the boutique winery and Pablo Neruda’s house were memorable parts of your day. Valparaíso truly is a unique and artistic city, and we’re very glad it was the highlight of your tour. We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding the lunch. While this restaurant is usually selected for its charming location and views, we understand that the experience may vary. Your comment is extremely valuable, and we will review this point with our partners to ensure a more consistent experience for future guests. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again on your next visit to Chile, and perhaps spending even more time discovering the magic of Valparaíso. Warm regards,

Valparaiso and vina del mare from Santiago

Our guide Manuel and driver picked us up at a later time so that we could see the sunset in vina del mare at our request. The stop at the winery was nice in Casablanca and then we headed to Valparaiso. Our time in Valparaiso was nice but felt rushed and we did not stop at a couple of the sites in the itinerary. We then headed to vina del mare but with rush hour traffic made a very quick stop at the Rapa Nui site and then were taken to our dinner at chez Girard. The service and location were excellent but food and drinks average. The sunset was lovely.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback — we truly appreciate it. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed key moments of the tour, such as the visit to the winery and the beautiful sunset in Viña del Mar. Regarding the time spent in Valparaíso and the missed stop at Parque Vergara, we’d like to kindly mention that the itinerary was adjusted to accommodate a later departure, as requested, to ensure you could enjoy the sunset. As a result, there was limited time for some of the scheduled stops. Nonetheless, we always strive to be flexible and offer personalized experiences for our guests. We would love to welcome you again in the future to explore even more of what Chile has to offer. Warm regards,

Private Valparaíso & Viña del Mar Day Trip with Boutique Winery: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santiago.

How much does Private Valparaíso & Viña del Mar Day Trip with Boutique Winery cost?

+

Prices start at $210 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santiago usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Valparaíso & Viña del Mar Day Trip with Boutique Winery take?

+

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santiago is not rushed.

Is Private Valparaíso & Viña del Mar Day Trip with Boutique Winery worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 44 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santiago, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Valparaíso & Viña del Mar Day Trip with Boutique Winery?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Valparaíso & Viña del Mar Day Trip with Boutique Winery suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Valparaíso & Viña del Mar Day Trip with Boutique Winery?

+

Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santiago can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santiago and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Valparaíso & Viña del Mar Day Trip with Boutique Winery start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santiago within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Santiago?

+

On Outty we rank every Santiago experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Maipo Valley Wine Tour with 4 vineyards from Santiago., Valparaiso Port and Viña del Mar with Casablanca Wine Tasting, Santiago: Valparaiso, Viña del Mar & Casablanca Wine Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Santiago?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Santiago?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
