Emmet is an awesome tour guide!
Emmet was our guide who met us at the hotel. He provided a detailed historical review and details of Dublin while we walked through various areas of Dublin. He pointed out the popular shopping areas on Grafton, as well as the architectural features including the St Teresa’s church and the George’s Street Arcade. We highly recommend Emmet as a tour guide; very knowledgeable and personable!

Austin carries the rock!
Having Austin Rock as our Dublin Tour Guide was about the best thing that we could do in terms of touring Dublin. He has almost infinite history knowledge of the area and continually sprinkles good humor in with his factual information. We enjoyed Austin so much that I told my wife we should have invited him to dinner with us during our conversation later that night eating dinner. Just a wonderful human who knows his stuff and enjoys what he is doing. He takes a genuine interest in making your tour the best experience that he can. I highly, highly, recommend Austin.

His passion for Dublin's history, his sense of humour, and his genuine enthusiasm for sharing the city with visitors are qualities that our guests consistently appreciate, and it's wonderful to hear that they helped make your experience so memorable. Your comments about Austin's knowledge, personality, and dedication to creating the best possible experience truly mean a lot. Austin takes great pride in ensuring that every tour is engaging, informative, and tailored to his guests' interests, so we're thrilled that this shone through during your visit. Thank you again for your kind words and enthusiastic recommendation. We'll be sure to share your feedback with Austin, who will be delighted to hear it. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Dublin again in the future! Warm regards, Tam, Dublin Tour Guide Team

A perfect day in Dublin
Together with my group of 12 we had a fantastic day with John Caffrey! John is such a nice person and fun to be with, and his knowledge of everything related to Dublin and Ireland was just outstanding. We saw so many wonderful places and learned a lot of interesting facts about Irish history and culture. John also made sure that everyone in our group was at ease and adapted the schedule to our needs. There was also enough time for breaks, which is really important when booking a full day. Thank you, John for this amazing day!

It's especially lovely to hear that John was able to adapt the day to suit your group's needs and ensure everyone felt comfortable throughout the tour. Why this scores 75
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Ultimate Day in Dublin (Walking Tour): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dublin.
How much does Private Ultimate Day in Dublin (Walking Tour) cost?
+
Prices start at $421 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dublin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Ultimate Day in Dublin (Walking Tour) take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dublin is not rushed.
Is Private Ultimate Day in Dublin (Walking Tour) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 34 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dublin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Ultimate Day in Dublin (Walking Tour)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Ultimate Day in Dublin (Walking Tour) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Ultimate Day in Dublin (Walking Tour)?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dublin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dublin and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Ultimate Day in Dublin (Walking Tour) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dublin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Dublin?
+
On Outty we rank every Dublin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, including Wild Atlantic Way and Galway, Dublin Highlights and Hidden Gems Guided Walking Tour, The Little Museum of Dublin Famous Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dublin?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dublin?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
