Roots & Ruins is a fantastic tour guide company!
Victor is an absolutely fantastic guide! He is friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable about Tulum, Mayan culture and history, and the entire Yucutan Peninsula. He drives a very nice and very large SUV that can accommodate large groups. The underground cave cenote he took us to is unlike anything we’ve ever experienced before, and we had the entire place to ourselves. The tour of the Jaguar museum is a must-see! Victor knows a remarkable amount of the history of the Mayan people. Walking through the ruins Victor pointed out so many fascinating things that we would have missed if we didn’t go with him. Lunch was fantastic and he provided us with ample recommendations for other places to try in Tulum and Cancun. He’s one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had anywhere in the world!

Another fabulous excursion!
We loved our first tour with Victor so much that we booked another one for later in our trip. Victor organized everything for us with a quick turnaround. He is very knowledgeable about the area, and a delightful tour guide that takes your preferences into account to build your ideal itinerary. Local and general knowledge of history, biology, culture, landmarks, etc was unmatched. He made us feel welcome, comfortable, and confident.
