    About this experience

Pompeii is a vast archaeological site, it is so large that you can easily get lost inside. The site is constantly evolving thanks to the continuous excavations that offer new discoveries every year.A professional private guide is highly recommended to be able to visit it in detail in relaxation in its most important structures. The guide is on request, stop for 2 hours. The Cantine del Vesuvio, located on the low hills of the volcano, offer a spectacular view of the Gulf of Naples. The program is structured with a guided tour within the 4 hectares of the winery close to the archaeological site of Pompeii, among historical testimonies, vineyards and elegant structures of the cellar. The tour ends with a tasting of varied wines and a traditional Neapolitan menu of dishes inspired by ancient Rome. Lunch (All inclusive) with digestives and desserts is € 32 or € 40 per person depending on the course, and is not included in the tour price.

So glad we got a driver from Naples to Positano, the view was great. Our driver, Lorenzo was fantastic!

The drive was such a great decision, my friends and I learned many things about Positano and I’m so glad we went. So worth it!

    Great experience!

Our driver Lorenzo was great! He was very knowledgeable about the city. He was able to pick us up early from the airport and allowed us to make an extra stop. Pompeii was beautiful and HUGE. Our guide Gennaro was great as well. His knowledge and humor added to the experience. I highly recommend getting a guide to show you around; it made the experience a lot less stressful/time consuming.

    Great visit,

Very good experience using this service. Our driver Lorenzo was very responsive, punctual for an early morning drive to airport. He was also considerate to stop the car at multiple places as one our passengers was getting motion sickness.

    This would be a great...

This would be a great experience in theory but it practice it was disjointed, uncomfortable, and unprofessional. Our driver did not know how to help us find our guide, and, once we located her, he repeatedly rushed us. For instance, we had a 3:30PM tour of Pompeii but he said we needed to leave by 4:00PM because he had another job. Given the price and described service, this is not acceptable. In addition, the driving was erratic and unsafe — to the point where 2 of the 4 passengers threw up.

Response from the operator: We are very sorry Mrs Lola .. , we spoke with the driver and he will no longer work with us . we are happy to refund you the 50% of the ammount . Kind regards Vincenzo Frattini

Vincenzo was easy to book with, and Fabio was a great driver. Smooth operation in every respect. No complaints. Would use again.

How much does Private Transfer Naples Positano or Praiano or vice versa, Via Pompei or Cantina cost?

    +

Prices start at $122 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amalfi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Transfer Naples Positano or Praiano or vice versa, Via Pompei or Cantina take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amalfi is not rushed.

Is Private Transfer Naples Positano or Praiano or vice versa, Via Pompei or Cantina worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 30 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amalfi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Transfer Naples Positano or Praiano or vice versa, Via Pompei or Cantina?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Transfer Naples Positano or Praiano or vice versa, Via Pompei or Cantina suitable for kids and families?

    +

How far in advance should I book Private Transfer Naples Positano or Praiano or vice versa, Via Pompei or Cantina?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amalfi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amalfi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amalfi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Amalfi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Amalfi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hands-On Cooking Class & Farmhouse Tour on the Amalfi Coast, Amalfi Coast Boat Rental: Explore, Swim, and Relax at Your Pace, Amalfi: Kayak-Snorkeling to Pandora Cave Hidden Beach & Aperitif. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amalfi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amalfi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
