Excellent experience with IBRRYC private car service
On our family trip to Portugal in September 2026, we hired Luis from IBERYC to help us travel from Lisbon to Porto and back. Let me tell you, it was one of the best decisions we made when planning our trip Portugal! I had several concerns booking a private driver for 6 adults, arriving at Lisbon airport and staying in two cities. If you are researching private car hires online, you may have experienced some of the same ambiguity as I did when questioning the protocol with other car hires if the driver will wait for you after one hour if you experience travel delays. Several companies I inquired with either didn’t respond to my questions, or were very ambiguous with their answers. That made me very nervous. However, This was NOT the case with Luis from IBERYC! In fact, we corresponded directly over email several times before and after booking our travel dates, and he assured me he would wait for us, and that in "ten years of offering private car service, he has never left anyone behind". We found Luis to be a wonderful, polite and knowledgeable man. He is a good, patient driver, and speaks amazing English too! We enjoyed learning about Portugal from chatting with him during both parts of our trip; and he was more than happy to answer any questions we had. His vehicle was impeccably clean, he was on time for both pick ups and offered that we could message him during our stay if we had any questions, issues or needed recommendations in each city. The airport to the train station in Lisbon is a fair walk and there are literally hundreds of people and Ubers lined up at the terminal. But hiring Luis made our pick up seamless! He met us inside the airport after baggage claim, he parked on site and assisted moving and loading bags into the spacious vehicle. Before we knew it, we were on our way to Porto without any worry of getting to or missing a train, how to find the rental car depot or figuring out directions. Luis picked us up on-time and dropped us off in both destinations as close as he could get to our hotels, which in both Porto and Lisbon can be challenging navigating narrow roads, people, trams and all types of vehicles. Luis can customize your itinerary if you would like to stop for photos, take a break at a rest stop, or divert to another city along the route for photos or a visit. I would highly recommend hiring Luis for private car service. Not only can he you take you to many destinations in Portugal, but also into other countries like Spain. It was a huge relief not to worry about how to get from one place to the other, with 6 adults and lots of luggage! Luis is a gem and you will not be disappointed hiring him to help with travel on your Portugal excursion! Obrigada!

Porto to Lisbon with stops
Luis drove us from Porto to Lisbon with stops in Aveiro, Nazare, and Obidos. He was highly professional, courteous, and had great recommendations on what to see at each stop. The car was clean and comfortable. At each stop, he parked the car and walked with us to show us where to go. He even thoughtfully reserved a nice local lunch spot for us ahead of time. We highly recommend IBERYC to anyone looking for an stress-free and comfortable taxi service!

Private transfer from Porto to Lisbon with stops along the way
Booked this private transfer from Porto to Lisbon. Can’t recommend Luis enough!!! He was more than a great driver - on time, clean car, shared his knowledge of the area at all our stops along the way, and extremely helpful. We stopped at 3 places as we made our way and Luís had so much history to share with us at each one. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Is Private Transfer from Porto to Lisbon worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 90 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

How far in advance should I book Private Transfer from Porto to Lisbon?
+
Around 31 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Transfer from Porto to Lisbon start and how do I get there?
+

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Porto?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Porto?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
