Viking Experience
Our guide Jackson was excellent, knowledgeable, curious, out going. Museum was great and ship building section was yerrific
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! 😊 We're so happy you enjoyed your visit to Roskilde. Jackson will be delighted to hear your feedback - he truly loves sharing Viking history with our guests. We're glad you enjoyed both the museum and the shipbuilding workshop. Thanks for choosing Viking Experience, and we hope to see you again on another adventure! best regards, Tina

Imperdible
Maria was our guide on this tour. I want to congratulate you on Mary's wisdom. It is a true storyteller! We visited the Viking Museum but what surprised us was the Roskilde Cathedral. Considered a UNESCO heritage. Maria as well as the agency had the kindness to offer us the entrance tickets. Thank you, Maria. We recommend this tour to everyone.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience! We're thrilled to hear that Maria made such an impact with her storytelling and knowledge. We're glad Maria was able to make the visit extra special. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you on another tour in the future! Best Regards, Xenia Easy Travel Team

history with new friends
Spent the day with Luis our tour guide and Baba our driver. Luis has a genuine love of travel and history and it was apparent in our conversations and on the tour. Luis is a terrific guide and is very knowledgeable about the Danish monarchy, the Roskilde cathedral, and the Viking ships. Very enjoyable day all around.
Response from the operator: Anita, thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you had such an enjoyable day. We take pride in our knowledgeable guides, and it sounds like Luis truly brought the history of Denmark to life. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back on another adventure soon!

Overpriced
Hugely overpriced. Our guide was, indeed, knowledgeable, but the experience overall left us wondering why it's priced at nearly $500 per person. Our transportation was in a taxi with no commentary along the route as to what we were seeing (other than a highway). The two main tours -- the Roskilde cathedral and the viking village -- were fascinating, but given the cost of this tour, it should have also included free entry to the museum and a light meal or something. The tour was good; the price was not, especially compared to what we received in other Viator tours in Denmark that were fabulous, twice as long and half the price.
Response from the operator: Dear Janet, It's a pity to receive such a review. The distance to Roskilde is not small - so transport is always not cheap. In this case, you had an electric Tesla. Also, you had a local licensed Danish guide. Moreover, he himself comes from Roskilde. We choose only the best for our trips. We do not include tickets to museums - since not all people want to visit museums, but want to walk the streets, get to know the city, and not sit in a car and look out the window. Hope that you liked Denmark and that you will return to our region next time! Best regards, Uljana Easy Travel Team

Viator lied about this tour
Viator lied about what this package includes. It says “As well as exploring exhibits, get out on the water and ride on a Viking ship.” That is a lie. I asked for a partial refund and was refused. Do not book this tour. Do not use Viator.
Response from the operator: Dear Daniel, It's sad to get this kind of feedback when it's not deserved. You made your booking less than 24 hours in advance. We were happy to take you on tour and organize everything urgently. Viking boat ride is not included in our tour - it can be done in the museum and much more if desired and depending on the season. The tour includes private transport there and back and a private guide for 5 hours. It was made for you in full. Best regards, Uljana Easy Travel Team

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Tour to Vikings City Roskilde from Copenhagen: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Copenhagen.
How much does Private Tour to Vikings City Roskilde from Copenhagen cost?
+
Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Copenhagen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tour to Vikings City Roskilde from Copenhagen take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Copenhagen is not rushed.
Is Private Tour to Vikings City Roskilde from Copenhagen worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Copenhagen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour to Vikings City Roskilde from Copenhagen?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Tour to Vikings City Roskilde from Copenhagen suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tour to Vikings City Roskilde from Copenhagen?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Copenhagen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Copenhagen and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tour to Vikings City Roskilde from Copenhagen start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Copenhagen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Copenhagen?
+
On Outty we rank every Copenhagen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Grand Day Trip around Copenhagen, Copenhagen Walking Tour: Politically Incorrect Intro, Copenhagen Highlights 3 Hour Bike Tour with local Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Copenhagen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Copenhagen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
