Amazing day tour of Belleau Wood

Jozef went above and beyond the usual tour guide duties for my husband and I on our tour of Belleau Wood. We had rearranged our tour dates and it turned out we were at Belleau Wood on the day of the 2026 Memorial Day Ceremony. My great uncle, Burley Mynatt was an 18 year old Marine from Tennessee who fought and died at Belleau Wood. It was a very emotional and moving Ceremony and day for us. Jozef secured us seats in a VIP section for the Ceremony. The Ceremony was very moving and we were so honored to be there with the men and women serving in the military. I had sent Jozef newspaper articles about my Uncle from 1918-1921 and he added those articles to his research. The time and care and amount of research he did for us was amazing. He made us a detailed notebook of maps and descriptions of where my Uncle Burley served. We stood on the section of the battlefield where my Uncle and the men he serve with dug trenches and fox holes. He also had information about where my uncle was buried at Belleau Wood for more than three years before the return of his body to the United States. He provided copy of papers of concerning his transport ship, docking in the United States. and that my Great Grandmother had claimed his body before his final journey by Southern Railroad to Knoxville TN. This was information we had spent years trying to find. Now, thanks to Jozef we have my Uncle Burley Mynatt's full story. We are so appreciative of Jozef's time and attention to detail for our deeply moving tour. It was an ancestrial journey that I have thought about for many years and I'll be forever grateful that Jozef was our guide.

What an incredible day. Jozef was so knowledgeable and willing to make the day special for my husband and I. We walked into the woods, visited the memorials, and my Marine husband was able to drink from the Devil Dog fountain. Thank you, Jozef! We would love visit again.

    USMC 250th Birthday

Best tour I have ever been on. I could not have asked for a better way to celebrate the USMC 250th birthday. Jozef absolutely made our tour the very best. He has a wealth of knowledge and shared many things I was unaware of concerning the battle of Belleau Wood. I highly recommend this tour. You will not be disappointed.

Private Tour to Belleau Wood The Devil Dogs & their Epic Battle: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.

How much does Private Tour to Belleau Wood The Devil Dogs & their Epic Battle cost?

    +

Prices start at $1499 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tour to Belleau Wood The Devil Dogs & their Epic Battle take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.

Is Private Tour to Belleau Wood The Devil Dogs & their Epic Battle worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour to Belleau Wood The Devil Dogs & their Epic Battle?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tour to Belleau Wood The Devil Dogs & their Epic Battle suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Tour to Belleau Wood The Devil Dogs & their Epic Battle?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tour to Belleau Wood The Devil Dogs & their Epic Battle start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Paris?

    +

Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Paris?

    +

April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Paris?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
