Fun, unique and authentic experience! Loved it!
We absolutely loved this tour! It is truly unique and authentic experience and one can immerse completely into the local culture while having SO much fun. We were a group of 4 and it was great to have the opportunity to play tejo and visit local "fondas" in Sabaneta. The food, drinks and the atmosphere were amazing. The transport was on point and our guide really helped make our experience top-notch! Thank you Palenque Tours!
Response from the operator: Dear, Petra! Without a doubt, Tejo is a very fun sport! We are glad to know you enjoyed playing it with your friends. We designed this tour with the intention of creating an immersive atmosphere. We hope you had fun on your trip to Medellin and learned to love our city as much as we do.

fun tour! Perfect to know the local culture!
I'm from Colombia but I was doing 4 different tours with Palenque Tours Colombia because my friend from Germany was visiting my country and I wanted to show her the best of the best with off-the-bitten track places and experiences. I wouldn't leave Medellin without know this local experience. Of course, we loved it! It was very fun to know these local taverns and then play our sport: "tejo"! The guide was so fun and we had an amazing experience. Thank you for everything! This was our last tour and we really felt we knew the Paisa culture
Response from the operator: Hi Sebastián ! Thank you for your comment ! Great that you got the opportunity to play tejo and to go to local fondas !

my tour and tour guide was excellent...

my tour and tour guide was excellent however direct communication and confirmation of the reservation with the company running the tour is highly recommended. Do not book solely through viator. They do not confirm with the operating company at all.

My guide was excellent, the views...

My guide was excellent, the views were scenic however the hike was much more difficult than advertised and I didn't bring the proper gear. Overall it was a good experience but had I planned better it would have been a great experience. I recommend a better description of the activities and several of the challenging climbs over wet rocks.

How much does Private tour: The Game of Tejo & Local Taberns - Cultural Night Diversion cost?

+

How far in advance should I book Private tour: The Game of Tejo & Local Taberns - Cultural Night Diversion?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Medellín can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Medellín and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Medellín within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Medellín?
+
On Outty we rank every Medellín experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guatapé Tour: Piedra del Peñol with Boat Tour, Breakfast, Lunch, Half Day Bike Tour in Medellin - Local snack, Coffee or Beer, Guided Tour of Comuna 13 Medellín with Snacks Included. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Medellín?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Medellín?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
