About this experience
Come and discover the main tourist attractions in Rio with me! Let's get to know Christ the Redeemer, the most visited attraction in the whole country, not just in Rio, a 38-meter statue, made of concrete and soapstone, which stands at the top of the Corcovado mountain, and is 710 meters above sea level ! Afterwards, we will visit the Selaron Staircase, with its 215 steps beautifully decorated by the Chilean artist called Jorge Selaron. Next, we will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of São Sebastião in Rio de Janeiro, with its beautiful stained glass windows, and finally, Pão de Açúcar, where we will take the cable car to see the most beautiful view of the city!! Or, whatever is possible, within the 6-7 hour tour, depending on the time of year, as on certain occasions, it is not possible to do everything in that period of time.

Best Rio Experience
Patricia was an excellent tour guide and we felt well looked after throughout the whole tour. We went to all the main attractions and it felt very relaxed, having time to explore, take photos and shop. She was very efficient with communication leading up to the tour, and gave us lots of history and information about all the sights we saw. We would definitely recommend Lotus Rio Tours and will revisit again :)
Response from the operator: Thanks, Jade, It was a pleasure spending the day with you guys! Best regards from Rio, Patricia Cannabrava

Best tour of Rio
Thank you Pati for this wonderful day ! Our group saw all the major sights in Rio and because of Pati’s expertise we had very few lines which was amazing. She even had water for us in the van ! Thanks so much for making this day special.

A great day in Rio with Patricia
Patricia was a great guide and driver. We saw so much in a few hours. Patricia gave us several choices along the way so the day included our “must sees”. She’s very knowledgeable about all things in Rio. Highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Hello, Mary, I'm very happy you enjoyed our tour in Rio! Thanks for you time leaving this review! Best regards from Rio, Patricia Cannabrava

Rio Best tour guide!
How can I start explaining this perfect day? Patty is easy to contact, she speaks Portuguese, Spanish and English. She offers options for payments, accepts credit cards and transfers. She tailors the excursion to your needs and preferences. She offers historical information in all the locations visited. Today, she picked us up at the airport and dropped us off at the hotel after our tour. Our luggage was kept safe in her vehicle at all times. My friend and I had a wonderful and relaxed day thanks to all Patty’s attentions!
Response from the operator: Thanks for your words, Michy, And thanks for choosing and trusting me everytime you come! Hope to see you soon! Best regards from Rio, Patricia Cannabrava

Private day tour from the port
Patricia picked us up at the Port from our cruise ship and took us on a customised tour for the whole day. We visited the Maracana Stadium, learnt all about Carnival, walked up the Seralon Steps then went to Christ the Redeemer. We had Patricia’s wonderful descriptions of all of the history. After driving along Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, we parked at the Cathedral then walked downtown to the beautiful Library and visited Confeteria Columbus. We were returned to the port in time to get ready for dinner on the ship. Thank you for your wonderful and warm conversation- your English is excellent!
Response from the operator: Hello, Nikki, I'm very happy you enjoyed our day together and we could do more than was planned! Enjoy the rest of your trip on the cruise ship! 😊

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private tour - The best of Rio in 1 day: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rio de Janeiro.
How much does Private tour - The best of Rio in 1 day cost?
+
Prices start at $450 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rio de Janeiro usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private tour - The best of Rio in 1 day take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rio de Janeiro is not rushed.
Is Private tour - The best of Rio in 1 day worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 97 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Rio de Janeiro, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private tour - The best of Rio in 1 day?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Private tour - The best of Rio in 1 day suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private tour - The best of Rio in 1 day?
+
Around 34 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rio de Janeiro can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rio de Janeiro and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private tour - The best of Rio in 1 day start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rio de Janeiro within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rio de Janeiro?
+
On Outty we rank every Rio de Janeiro experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rio's Full Day: Selarón Steps, Christ & Sugarloaf – Tickets & Lunch Included, Rio: Tijuca Rainforest Hike, Wildlife, Waterfalls & Caves, Explore the Best of Tijuca Forest – Hike to Peaks, Caves & Falls. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rio de Janeiro?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rio de Janeiro?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
