    About this experience

Step into the world of the Paris flea markets with me and discover why they’re unlike anything else. Having spent nearly a decade immersed in the Les Puces de Saint-Ouen, I’ve become part of its rhythm—learning the vendors, hidden corners, and where the real treasures reveal themselves. I’ll guide you through the maze of marchés, helping you navigate it with ease while sharing the stories behind what you see. Whether you’re searching for something specific or just exploring, I know where to find it—or where you might unexpectedly fall in love with something you didn’t even know you wanted. Each tour is tailored to you, shaped by your taste and curiosity. We might uncover vintage Chanel necklaces, brass pots, toy soldiers, monogrammed linens, records, swords, signage, Birkin bags, fountains, art, furniture, champagne buckets—and more. Anything you discover can be shipped home. And somehow, time always flies—you’ll be wandering, discovering, and wishing for just a little more.

Simply the Best Tour Guide in Paris!

Allison is a fantastic tour guide. We have done two separate tours with her (Apr 23 and May 25) and I recommend her to all my friends. As a travel agent, I recommend her to all my clients. She really knows the city, the cool little tricks, and has recommendations for literally everything including bars & restaurants. As you go through Paris with Allison, she continuously shares points of interest with anecdotes and info about the area, the monuments, street art, etc. She even took the time to teach us how to use the Metro effectively so we could navigate on our own. What's really great about doing a private tour with Allison is if you need a comfort break, a snack, or just to sit for a few minutes, she accommodates that with aplomb.

Response from the operator: Merci so much for your kind words and continued support! It has been such a pleasure exploring Paris with you not once, but twice, and I truly appreciate the confidence you've shown in recommending me to both your friends and clients. One of my favorite parts of guiding is helping visitors feel comfortable enough to make the city their own, whether that's mastering the Metro, finding a favorite café, or discovering those little corners and stories that make Paris so special. I'm glad you enjoyed all the anecdotes, recommendations, and, of course, the occasional well-timed coffee or comfort break! Thank you again for your trust and generosity. Repeat guests are the greatest compliment, and I always look forward to our next Paris adventure together. Until then, I'll keep collecting new stories, restaurants, and hidden gems to share with you. Merci beaucoup!

    Best tour in Paris!

If you're looking for a Paris experience that goes beyond the obvious, book Allison immediately. Our walking tour covered everything: food, a flea market, shopping, and sightseeing, but nothing felt like the version of Paris you've already seen on Instagram a hundred times. Allison took us through neighborhoods and stops that felt genuinely local. The kind of places where you look around and realize you're the only tourist in the room. She knew exactly where to eat, what to order, and which market stalls were worth stopping at and her enthusiasm for the city was completely infectious. What set her apart was the curation. Every stop felt intentional, never rushed, and totally off the beaten path. We left feeling like we'd actually experienced Paris rather than just checked off a list. Honestly one of the highlights of the entire trip. If you want Paris without the crowds and with all the charm, Allison is your person.

Response from the operator: Merci so much for this wonderful review! It means a lot to know that your experience felt like more than just a checklist of famous sights. One of the things I love most about sharing Paris is showing people the city I fell in love with—the neighborhoods, markets, cafés, and little discoveries that don't always make it into the guidebooks or Instagram feeds. I'm thrilled that you enjoyed wandering beyond the obvious and that the day felt thoughtful and authentic. Paris has so many layers, and I truly believe the best experiences happen when there's time to slow down, follow your curiosity, and leave room for a little spontaneity. I'm so happy we were able to create that together. Thank you for trusting me with your time in Paris. Sharing hidden corners, favorite bites, and unexpected finds with curious travelers is one of my greatest joys. I hope your memories of Paris stay with you for years to come, and I hope our paths cross again for another adventure. Merci beaucoup!

Great way to visit the huge Paris market

The tour of the Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen was a great experience. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the market had an amazing mix of antiques, vintage fashion, art, and unique collectibles. The tour was well organized and made it easy to explore such a large and busy market. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a different and authentic side of Paris.

Response from the operator: Merci so much for your kind words! I'm delighted you enjoyed exploring the Marché aux Puces. One of the things I love most about the market is that it truly offers something for everyone. From antiques and art to vintage fashion and quirky collectibles, there's always something unexpected waiting to be discovered. With so many different marchés and hidden corners, it can feel overwhelming at first, so I'm glad I could help make the experience enjoyable and easy to navigate. Thank you for spending part of your Paris adventure with us and for appreciating this unique side of the city. Every visit to Les Puces is different, which is part of the magic, and I hope you'll come back one day for another treasure hunt. There's always something new to discover! Merci beaucoup!

    Best there is!

Allison was the best tour guide and made site seeing in Paris such a blast. She was so knowledgeable on history but also current trends which made it a great blend of old and new. We really enjoyed getting to try some local bites along the way too! Definitely will be back and would recommend to all.

Response from the operator: It was such a pleasure spending time with you and sharing Paris together. I'm so glad you enjoyed the mix of history, current trends, and, of course, a few delicious local bites along the way. One of the things I love most about Paris is that it's constantly evolving while still holding onto its incredible past, and I enjoy helping visitors experience both sides of the city. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your trip and for your recommendation. Nothing makes me happier than hearing that you had a blast! Paris always has more stories to tell, new places to discover, and more things to taste, so I look forward to welcoming you back for another adventure someday. Merci beaucoup, and until next time!

Private Tour of the Famous Paris Flea Markets: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.

How much does Private Tour of the Famous Paris Flea Markets cost?

    +

Prices start at $681 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tour of the Famous Paris Flea Markets take?

    +

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.

Is Private Tour of the Famous Paris Flea Markets worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour of the Famous Paris Flea Markets?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tour of the Famous Paris Flea Markets suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Tour of the Famous Paris Flea Markets?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tour of the Famous Paris Flea Markets start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Paris?

    +

Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Paris?

    +

April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Paris?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
