An incredible way to experience the real Puerto Plata!
An incredible way to experience the real Puerto Plata! Luis was an absolutely wonderful guide. He shared the history of Puerto Plata while also giving us a genuine look at the local culture—not just the typical tourist stops. One of the highlights was spending time with a local family and getting to know more about everyday life in the Dominican Republic. Luis really personalized the day for us. As Catholics, visiting the historic Catholic church was especially meaningful, and he took the time to explain its history and importance. My husband loved the cigar experience, I found beautiful amber and larimar, and we both enjoyed the chocolate and coffee stops. The air-conditioned car was essential in the Caribbean heat, and having cold water provided throughout the tour was very appreciated. Luis took fantastic care of us from beginning to end. If you want to experience the history, culture, and people of Puerto Plata rather than simply see the sights, we highly recommend this tour!

A good and comfortable private tour
We had a nice time with Diomi! Our favorite experience was the tasting at the Rum factory. He also included a visit to Mount Isabel de Torres even though it wasn't part of the original itinerary because we asked.
