SCAMMERS. Do NOT book. I repeat, do NOT book.
Please please please do NOT book with this company. My friends and I took a trip back in May and this company was the worst mistake of our trip. We waited at the airport for 45 minutes after arriving to the Dominican. We did not receive the vehicle we ordered. We also had an excursion planned and they attempted to pick us up again late so we cancelled the service altogether. Fast forward, we asked for a refund and it’s been months and still no refund. They told lies after lies. They are scammers. Do NOT book.

Diamond Transfers is the worst company ever!
This company is the worst company of transportation. We were a group of 9 persons (family) and we planned our vacations to Puerto Plata on June 20, 2025, transportation arrangements were made and paid both ways since April 15, 2 months in advance to our arrival. All the details were sent to them, the communication was excellent via WhatsApp, a van for 9 persons was reserved, everything was excellent. The day of our arrival, at 4:30 pm, they sent me the photo of the driver that will pick up us at Santiago’s airport. What happened next?? NOBODY was waiting for us. I called them and guess what?? They told me they didn’t have any van available for 9 persons and no driver either. WHAT?? Then they told me to wait 30 minutes to see what they can do for us, 40 minutes later I called again and they apologized, sorry, we can’t find any driver for us. So, with no other choice, we paid for 2 taxi (mini van) $100 each one=$200 not on our budget. We arrived at our hotel at 8:30 PM. I called them on Saturday and they agreed to refund me half of the amount we paid ($286 round trip), in 5-7 days thru PayPal. I called them again on Sunday, to assured they will pick up us at the hotel for our return to the airport, and thank God the person arrived. What they do?? They call any person that offers transportation services and send them to pick up the travelers, they sent 2 mini vans, one of them with no air conditioner!!! Thank God the person that picked up us was so responsible and very kind, his name, Eury. Ok, when the 7 days were due I called them and guess what?? The manager or person in charge of the refunds were out in an emergency travel. I sent an email to this person, GEISON GARCIA, I called an office in Florida, and nobody helped me or gave me an answer. I put a dispute with PayPal, they sent messages to the person, Geison Garcia, and finally, one month later, who paid me the money was PayPal, Diamond Transportation as of today are missing in action!! DON’T USE OR TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! IS THE WORST AND VERY IRRESPONSIBLE!!

Why this scores 51
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Transfer between Santiago Airport and Puerto Plata: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Plata.
How much does Private Transfer between Santiago Airport and Puerto Plata cost?
+
Prices start at $109 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Plata usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Transfer between Santiago Airport and Puerto Plata take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Plata is not rushed.
Is Private Transfer between Santiago Airport and Puerto Plata worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Plata, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Transfer between Santiago Airport and Puerto Plata?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Transfer between Santiago Airport and Puerto Plata suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Transfer between Santiago Airport and Puerto Plata?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Plata can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Plata and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Transfer between Santiago Airport and Puerto Plata start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Plata within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Plata?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Plata experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Monkeyland and Zipline Adventure from Puerto Plata, Monkeyland Puerto Plata, Puerto Plata Highlights City Tours from amber cove and Taino bay. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Plata?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Plata?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
