    Great day trip to Kosova.

We had already booked a trip with Go as Local to Ohrid and booked a day trip to Kosova at the same time. We booked the privat tour for two people. All contact with the company was great. We had booked for a Friday, but looking at the weather forecast a couple of days before the trip, we asked the company if we could change the trip to the day after, where the weather was to be better. The company said that that would be no problem. We also asked for the same guide, that we had had on our day trip to Ohrid. Redi was a fantastic guide , so we asked to have him again. The company again said that that was no problem. We met our guide at the agreed time and off we went to Kosova. The roads all the way to Prizren (and later to Prishtina) were great. The landscape was beautiful and the day before it had snowed on the tops, making the landscape even more beautiful. On the way we had a short stop near Kukes to admire the view and stretch our legs. Redi gave us a lot of information about the history of Kosova, and the current political situation in the region. This was good to have heard before our first stop in Prizren. Redi took us to different sights; Prizren Fortress, Sinan Pasha Mosque and Albanian League of Prizren. After spending time in Prizren, we drove to Prishtina. Again Redi gave us insight into the history of Kosova, which was great. Redi is a very knowledgeable guide and can answer any question you ask him. We went to a local restaurant in Pristhina named Liburnia, where Redi said we could get good, local food (not cevapi). This was a great experience and the food was very good. After eating, we walked around in Prishtina visitng the Newborn monument, National Stadium, Memorial Heroines, National Library and Cathedral of Saint Mother Teresa. This was a very good tour. We can recommend this tour and using the company Go as Local. We would not hestitate using them again. And being with Redi on a second tour was just the icing on the cake. Again, it felt like being on a trip with good friends, not a tour with a guide. No stress on this tour! :)

Great tour of highlights of Pristina and Prizren with (for us) a focus on politics and conflicts.

We found this tour to be very educational. We were interested in the various conflicts involving Albania and the area and also in the "fall of Yugoslavia" and how if affected Albania. Our guide, Redi, was very knowledgeable of this history and of the current politics. =We had tours of the highlights of Pristina and Prizren and ate at a wonderful restaurant in Pristina that Redi was familiar with.

A good tour to visit and learn about an interesting country

Evenbif it is a quite long drive from Tirana to Pristina and Prizren, it is worth the effort. Eric was an excellent guide who showed as the main places of both cities and taught as about the past and recent history of this country.

Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tirana and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Tirana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tirana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Tirana- Hiking Tour to Bovilla Lake & Gamti Mountain, From Tirana / Durres: Gamti Mountain and Bovilla lake Day Trip, Kruja castle, the old Bazaar & Sarisalltik- Departure from Tirana. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tirana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tirana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
