Longhua Temple is the oldest temple in Shanghai for its long history of over 1,700 years. The visitor here having marveled at the city's modern architecture and historical sites. Besides its long history, Longhua Temple is the largest temple in Shanghai. It occupies an area of over 20,000 square meters (five acres) and the architectural proportion is about 5,000 square meters (1.2 acres). This is a private museum dedicated to collecting and displaying posters. It contains over 6,000 collections of original propaganda posters from the 1940s to 1990s. It covers chairman Mao’s time and shows the political movements that were taking place during the New China era. It was founded by Mr. Yang Pei Ming who started collecting the posters as a hobby in 1995. Then, we will admire the western-style architectures in the 1920s around Former French Concession area.

It is an old shikumen house built in the 1920s that has been preserved and renovated. The museum was built according to the model of one household in the 1920s. The story of a shikumen family runs through the whole visit. It not only shows the unique shikumen architectural culture of Shanghai, but also reproduces the living space and lifestyle of Shanghai people in those days.
