    A wonderful day with Mario

I actually think the title should be: Enjoy a day of exploration of Medellin: walk the streets, taste the food, Escobar if you wish, customize it. Mario was simply fantastic. He picks us up, say, ok, Escobar, graffiti in Commune 13, etc. We told him, we did Commune 13 yesterday, without any hesitation, "ok, then we will go", and he described a tour that included Escobar but a new route in the city. We were with him from 9:00 am until about 5:00 pm, and every minute was wonderful. We really felt like we were seeing the city, in fact, we never saw any tourist until we made stops near a famous square that we were happy to visit. We posed with school children for photos (forgot to get a copy from Mario), we at a local restaurants where I can almost guarantee you they rarely, if at all saw American seniors, we chatted with the surviving driver of Escobar, etc. If you just want to feel like you really have seen the city, take a separate tour of Commune 13, the hire Mario to really spend the day showing you Medellin. Mario: the greatest, and his English skills are perfect.

Response from the operator: Dear lovegolfsailing, Thanks so much for such nice words, they mean everything to us. Best reward at the end of day is you get to explore and get inmerse in the culture, with a professional guide who speaks fluent english and knows the city very well. Please let us assist again soon during your next visit! Looking forward, Camilo Uribe Medellin City Services®

Learn and enjoy Medellin with Julio

We had the pleasure of traveling with Julio for 2 tours; first to Guatape and then a city tour of Medellin including a tour of the markets and tasting fruits and then visiting Comuna 13. He is a very personable, patient man and is genuinely interested in his clients. He did our tour in English and we enjoyed his mastery of the language and his jokes. He is a great guy and I would highly recommend spending a day with him to learn about the area.

Response from the operator: Dear Karen F, Thanks for such nice words, it is quite an honor you recommend us. Fantastic to learn you have enjoyed Medellin, will be and honor to assist during your next trip. Looking forward, Camilo Uribe Medellin City Services

    Great private Pablo Escobar tour!

My friend and I had a great time touring around Medellin for our private Pablo Escobar our with Julio. Julio was highly knowledgeable, friendly and all around pleasure to spend time with. We went to four locations on our half day tour: Pablo's Monoco House/mansion, Pablo's prison (La Catedral), the location where Pablo was killed, and Pablo's grave. Thanks for a great tour!

Response from the operator: Dear Jackson, Thanks to you for such a great company. It is good to know you’ve had a great tour, and we’ll be glad to show you the rest of Medellin in the near future. Please keep us posted. Sincerely, Camilo Uribe Medellin City Services®

Private tour: Medellin, Pablo Escobar and Food with transport: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Medellín.

How much does Private tour: Medellin, Pablo Escobar and Food with transport cost?

    +

Prices start at $233 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Medellín usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private tour: Medellin, Pablo Escobar and Food with transport take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Medellín is not rushed.

Is Private tour: Medellin, Pablo Escobar and Food with transport worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Medellín, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private tour: Medellin, Pablo Escobar and Food with transport?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private tour: Medellin, Pablo Escobar and Food with transport suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private tour: Medellin, Pablo Escobar and Food with transport?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Medellín can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Medellín and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private tour: Medellin, Pablo Escobar and Food with transport start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Medellín within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Medellín?

    +

On Outty we rank every Medellín experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guatapé Tour: Piedra del Peñol with Boat Tour, Breakfast, Lunch, Half Day Bike Tour in Medellin - Local snack, Coffee or Beer, Guided Tour of Comuna 13 Medellín with Snacks Included. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Medellín?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Medellín?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
