The Louvre Museum is the largest Museum in the world, a guide is more then advised for your visit . I'm an Official Private guide in France and pleased to guide people from all over the world since 8 years. The Louvre Museum is one of my favorite places to guide in because the building itself is a museum by its architecture, its history, and thousands rooms hiding not only the most famous masterpieces in the world, but also secrets of people who in the 800 years of history of this place made it deeply rich. The Louvre is a very special Museum, and you will feel it, through every step you will do in this building, the blowing decor and its history. Please note that some weekends and days when I’m not available I can propose you to be guided by a member of my team.

What you'll see and do
Louvre Museum
Bonjour, I will be happy to be your guide for this tour. We will start our private tour from your Hotel if you ask me to pick you ap there. During this private tour i propose you to discover the largest museum in the world and the most visited museum in France. I will be able to make you travel in time during this tour because the Louvre crossed 800 years to our days. My tour permits you to enjoy the most beautiful masterpieces of the Museum in its different départements but also learn a lot about the building itself. You will smile to the famous Mona Lisa, meet Venus de Milos( you can't shake her hand :) sorry), see the Winged Victory of Samothrace, assist at Napoleon's coronation, and even participate at the "Three Glorious " Revolution with Delacroix. But also you will dance in the most beautiful Ball Rooms of the Palace, see secret doors, and step on historical staircases. And this rich travel in time ends with a splendid reception in Napoleon the III Apartments(if opened).

Amazing tour
An amazing highlight tour of the Louvre. Expert knowledge and the navigation of the crowds was worth the cost

Wonderful survey/intro to Louvre
Wonderful, interesting, fluent and immersive tour. See the glorious history and design of this amazing museum. Of course the diverse art is awe inspiring. The guide was great. Three hours if energetic walking, chock full of information. The guide was kind, considerate and very knowledgeable. She is also resourceful and able to overcome challenges of big crowds, systemic changes and unreliable technology.

The tour to take
It is an overwhelming museum, certainly a tour just touches the surface but the way Iliana took us through a historical overview was amazing. She touched on all the history and highlights. The lines were incredible if you were just buying tickets on your own. It was cold and she was right on time and got us in very quickly. There is so much more than the Mona Lisa. It really was fantastic!!!!!
Response from the operator: Dear Elizabeth, Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words! It truly means a lot to hear that you enjoyed the tour. You’re absolutely right—the museum can feel overwhelming, and I’m so glad I could help make it more approachable by guiding you through its history and highlights. It was a pleasure sharing not just the famous works like the Mona Lisa, but also the many other treasures that make the experience so special. I’m also really happy everything went smoothly despite the crowds and the cold—timing and comfort can make such a difference! Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. It was a joy to have you on the tour, and I hope to welcome you again someday for even more discoveries! Kindly, Iuliana

Louvre private tour
I wish I would have done this for more of our tours that we've taken through Paris. The price is certainly a lot more, but what we got for that was a true in-depth experience of the different artworks. The history of the actual Louvre. Juliana was second to none! I highly recommend her compared to the tour that we had at Versailles. This was just outstanding
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! It truly means a lot to hear that your experience at the Louvre was such a highlight. I'm so glad I could help bring the art and history to life for you. The Louvre has so many layers to explore, and it was a real pleasure to share some of them with you. I’d be honored to welcome you back anytime for more unforgettable moments in this beautiful city. Merci encore! Warm regards, Juliana

Excellent way to see the Louvre
Iuliana was very knowledgeable, organized and friendly. My wife and I learned and experienced much more of the Louvre than we would have on our own or with a group tour. This was an excellent experience that maximized our short time in Paris. Iuliana was the best of many guides on our trip.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! It was a real pleasure guiding you through the Louvre and helping you make the most of your time in Paris. I'm thrilled to hear that the experience stood out during your trip and that you both enjoyed it so much. Wishing you many more amazing travels ahead — and I’d love to welcome you back anytime! Warmly, Iuliana

Why this scores 74
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Tour Louvre Museum: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.
How much does Private Tour Louvre Museum cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tour Louvre Museum take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.
Is Private Tour Louvre Museum worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 61 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour Louvre Museum?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Tour Louvre Museum suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tour Louvre Museum?
+
Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tour Louvre Museum start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Paris?
+
Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Paris?
+
April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Paris?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
