Nice experience in Luxor with our educated guide!
Me and my partner learned a lot about the history of Luxor and enjoyed our day. Our guide Nagla was very knowledgeable and a sweet women who explained a lot about the tombs and the temples. Really recommended!! The only downside was that we were the only English speaking people in our group, which meant that Nagla had to switch between languages the whole time.

One day visit to Luxor and the Valley of Kings and Queens
She was the best guide to understand and learn about the ancient egyptian civilisation. She was kind, very knowledgeable and very patient. She explained us the most of the gereoglyph, and she was very funny in the explanation and never boring, which is an hard task when you’re working with a group of four people in their twenties. She also offers very interesting pitstops in the middle of the main attractions visit, such as the “papyrus” handmade production center or the basalt factory. We will never forget our visit to Luxor and she has played an important role to make the visit more enjoyable :).

Avoid this company..
Avoid this company. The driver was amazing but the guide Nagla was extorting us at every point she could. Nagla sent us the ticket prices as standard which matched the offical website however she tried to charge us LE 750 each ($21) for a boat ride one way from West Bank to East Bank (Valley of the kings) lasting 5 minutes, which if you've been Egypt before like I have you'd know the passing boat costs LE 100 to cross for 2 persons! We challenged this and she brought the price down to LE 500 per person which ruined the trip as we knew we was being ripped off and she paid the boat secretly to avoid us seeing what we already knew (LE 100). Nagla then didn't get heavily involved in the tour as it was too hot and she wanted shade and stated she would wait in the shade at the entrance and let us go visit the historical sights alone. Nagla didn't seem to be quite the Egyptologist she thought and not interested, quite often going blank and not knowing what she was talking about.. This tour is very expensive and everyone was winging it but the driver was good and the buffet at the Cafe for lunch was good too. Nagla took us to the "essence" shop to try and extort us out of more money for her own commission but we declined to buy anything as we mention we didnt want to go to the essence shop prior. I would recommend shopping around as there are much better tours that are much cheaper (LE 20-30) for an all day tour in Luxor - We traveled from Hurghada and used their service as a taxi to get to Luxor (4hrs) so we (luckily) didnt care too much about the tour until the contant money making scams came about. The advertising also clearly states private tour from Hurghada to Luxor however they alsk tried to put us in a van with other people despite this being a private tour from Hurghada to Luxor to make more commission (vans are much cheaper) but we challenged this and they changed us to a car which we had of course paid for and expected. The tour was very expensive and seemed to be fueled by greed and lots of middle men especially the tour guide Nagla continuously on her phone trying to haggle us on the next costings and more concerned in selling us additions rather than the tour itself. I've done this tour before with someone else which was amazing but this wasn't good at all. Rushed, not informative and basically treated you like a bank with dishonest pricing before being pressured to provide a positive review otherwise she won't get work. Disaster.

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private tour Hurghada to Luxor: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hurghada.
How much does Private tour Hurghada to Luxor cost?
+
Prices start at $115 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hurghada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private tour Hurghada to Luxor take?
+
Plan for about 14 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hurghada is not rushed.
Is Private tour Hurghada to Luxor worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 30 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private tour Hurghada to Luxor?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private tour Hurghada to Luxor suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 14-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private tour Hurghada to Luxor?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 14-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private tour Hurghada to Luxor start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hurghada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hurghada?
+
On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada Diving Adventure one Day with two Dives Boat Trip, Hurghada to Cairo: Pyramids & Museum for First-Time Visitors, Scuba Diving Full Day Boat Trip W/Lunch & Transfer from Hurghada. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hurghada?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hurghada?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
