Private Tour of Corinth, Mycenae, Napflion and Epidaurus

This was a private tour so there was only the 4 of us on the tour. Our tour guide was Marika and our driver was Jason and they were wonderful hosts for our day tour. Marika is trained as an archaeologist and was quite knowledgeable at all of our stops. We travelled in air conditioned comfort in a Mercedes van. First stop - Corinth Canal - it was amazing how quickly they were able to carve out that canal and create a shipping route. Mycenae had interested ruins to discover and this was where we were first introduced to the myth of the Minotaur. Napflion was beautiful and a great spot to have lunch overlooking the harbour. Our final stop was Epidaurus to look at an amazing, very intact theatre. It was really interesting to learn how the Greeks valued experiences and mental health as part of the healing process. Theatres were not just entertainment but often part of medicine. It was a relaxing day to see the countryside and a bit more of Greece. I would recommend this tour and I would also recommend a stay in the Pelaponnese.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your day with Marika and Jason and that you appreciated the beauty and history of the Peloponnese. Your recommendation means a lot to us!

    Life long memoeries

We concluded our three day tour this afternoon. We wanted to write to you before we board our cruise ship tomorrow; the tour far, far exceeded our expectations. The number main reason for this was the exceptional care we received from George. This gentleman took care of us in a manner that was nothing short of incredible. His driving was professional, his sense of humor made us laugh, his knowledge of Greece and it’s history informed us. We simply enjoyed spending three days with him, getting to know him and he getting to know us. Please extend to George our sincere thanks for the life long memories. Regards, Dave

    Ancient Greece.

The guide provided was excellent as was our bus driver. We had a group of 12 and the entire 3 day trip was excellent. After two days of Athens sightseeing we did the three day road trip including Olympia. We would definitely use this company again.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
