Dream come true layover in Cairo.
EgyptTours Portal made our 16 hour layover in Cairo an absolute dream! We were met before customs and ushered through to our waiting driver (spacious private van and well air conditioned), who took us to our amazing tour guide Mohamed Osman. Mohamed made us feel welcome, he guided us through an ancient civilization, bringing it alive, recreating a time from 3500 years ago. He also shared insights into modern Egypt. His enthusiasm and passion were evident and there was not one question he could not answer (and we asked many). I am so grateful for this day!

Egypt with kids - Amazing!
Egypt Tours Portal was a wonderful company to work with. This was our first trip to Egypt and we had 2 kids with us (12 and 15) and wasn't sure how to plan it - but ETP took care of all of the logistics from start to finish and it was an incredible vacation. Our tour guide in Cairo - Amr - was very knowledgeable and made sure that we didnt miss any of the important sights or photo spots. He was a great guide and we definitely recommend him if you are visiting Cairo! For our trip to Luxor and Aswan along the Nile we had another fantastic tour guide - Mohamed Eldaw - who was also incredibly knowledgeable and made visiting the temples and Valley of the Kings a fun and knowledgeable experience for both adults and kids. Both guides were invaluable and I would recommend both to anyone visiting Egypt. We felt like we were visiting friends the whole time we were here and cannot say enough good things about this amazing country!

Ahmed is the best guide in Cairo!!!
We spent 15 days in Egypt and Cairo was one of our favorite places!!! Ahmed was our guide and he was AMAZING! Ahmed was very friendly, fun, knowledgeable, communicated extremely well, and seemed very happy to share his knowledge and love of Egyptian history with us. Outside of this, he also brought us to the BEST places for food!!!! We had a great time in Egypt and we highly recommend ETP (and Ahmed!) for anyone looking for a fantastic experience.

Great guidance with a sense of humor
Amr Aswany Amr has been a great tour guide. He was not only very friendly but very knowledgeable about the sites we visited. He gave very good suggestions about how to handle everything from street vendors to recommendations on what to prioritize on our sightseeing. We felt very comfortable and secure on our trip with his guidance and sense of humor.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hurghada.
How much does Private Tour: Cairo Day Trip from Hurghada, Including Round-Trip Flights, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, and Egyptian Museum cost?
+
Prices start at $861 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hurghada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tour: Cairo Day Trip from Hurghada, Including Round-Trip Flights, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, and Egyptian Museum take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hurghada is not rushed.
Is Private Tour: Cairo Day Trip from Hurghada, Including Round-Trip Flights, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, and Egyptian Museum worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 175 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour: Cairo Day Trip from Hurghada, Including Round-Trip Flights, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, and Egyptian Museum?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Private Tour: Cairo Day Trip from Hurghada, Including Round-Trip Flights, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, and Egyptian Museum suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tour: Cairo Day Trip from Hurghada, Including Round-Trip Flights, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, and Egyptian Museum?
+
Around 61 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tour: Cairo Day Trip from Hurghada, Including Round-Trip Flights, Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, and Egyptian Museum start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hurghada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hurghada?
+
On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada Diving Adventure one Day with two Dives Boat Trip, Hurghada to Cairo: Pyramids & Museum for First-Time Visitors, Scuba Diving Full Day Boat Trip W/Lunch & Transfer from Hurghada. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hurghada?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hurghada?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
