Very friendly tour...
Very friendly tour guides, there is quite a bit of stairs and plenty to walk so take comfortable shoes
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind comment! Yes, that is correct — there are quite a few stairs and some walking during the tour, so comfortable shoes are always a great idea. We always try to go at a relaxed pace so everyone can enjoy the visit. We really appreciate your feedback and hope to see you again on another tour in Mexico. Perfect Lenten Pilgrimage
I booked this tour hoping for a meaningful pilgrimage and it exceeded every expectation. Blanca was truly exceptional. She is everything you could ask for in a guide: knowledgeable, kind, patient, funny, and genuinely interesting. More than that, she brought such warmth and care to the experience that it felt less like a tour and more like being guided by a friend. She took me everywhere there is to see at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, including a hidden gallery of Marian folk art that I would never have discovered on my own. Her depth of knowledge and ability to share it in such an engaging and thoughtful way made the entire visit come alive. What I intended to be a pilgrimage, a holy journey, became exactly that, and more. It was not only spiritually meaningful, but also a beautiful expression of Mexican hospitality at its finest. I’m so grateful to have met Blanca, and I would recommend this tour wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Mexico City.
Response from the operator: Dear Paulina, Thank you so much for your beautiful and heartfelt review. Your words truly mean a lot to me. It was a real honor to guide you during your visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and I’m very happy to know that the experience became the meaningful pilgrimage you were hoping for. Moments like this are the reason I love doing what I do. I’m grateful for your kindness and for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. It was a pleasure meeting you, and I hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again in Mexico in the future. Warm regards,

Our Lady of Guadalupe is very special to our family. I couldn’t believe I had the opportunity to see the Tilma with my own eyes! Blanca was great. She knew where everything was in the extensive grounds & the history. She was patient with us while we shopped and prayed at various places. I couldn’t have asked for a better guide for this special experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We are truly delighted to hear that your experience visiting Our Lady of Guadalupe was so meaningful for you and your family. It’s wonderful that you had the opportunity to see the Tilma in person—such a special moment! We’re also glad to know that I made your visit even more special with her knowledge, patience, and guidance. We appreciate you choosing us to be part of this experience, and we hope to welcome you again in the future! Best regards,

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Tour Basilica of Guadalupe with Transportation: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.
How much does Private Tour Basilica of Guadalupe with Transportation cost?
+
Prices start at $1200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tour Basilica of Guadalupe with Transportation take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.
Is Private Tour Basilica of Guadalupe with Transportation worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour Basilica of Guadalupe with Transportation?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Tour Basilica of Guadalupe with Transportation suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tour Basilica of Guadalupe with Transportation?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tour Basilica of Guadalupe with Transportation start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mexico City?
+
On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mexico City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mexico City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
