Good tour, worth the amount paid.
The whole tour was excellent, with knowledgeable and kind drivers and guides that spoke fair English, but communication prior and during it was not as easy and quick as expected. The Urghada hotel-airport transfer by a driver covered in the itinerary could not be offered and we were told to take a taxi instead. It cost us US$30 that were not refunded, despite submitting the receipt. The driver that took us from Luxor to Urghada in a 4-hr ride spoke almost no English and was not aware of the hotel name nor its location (we had to provide the name and navigation instructions to get there) and upon arrival, demanded a higher tip. The flight Cairo-Luxor was advanced by one hour by AirCairo with a change of flight number under the same reservation and we almost lost it because our hotel pick-up was scheduled in accordance with the original departure time. On the positive side, all hotels and the Nile cruise ship were good quality (not 5-star as rated, but close); the Urghada resort was all-inclusive and even had a 24-hour clinic.

Great holiday Exotica / Planet Tours
We had a great trip with Mohamed of Planet Tours as our guide. He guided us through our trip and pointing out the highlights at all of our stops. He had a sense of humor and appeared to enjoy his job and his country. He told us how to deal with beggers. Where to buy quality souvenirs. He even made arrangements for us to purchase a suitcase to get our extra shopping home! Yes we made the traditional shopping stops that guides I assume get a kick back from. All our accommodations where okay, Nothing over the top a bit dated, but clean and comfortable. Our only issue was we where a party of 3 wanting to roon together. They always splitting us up into 2 rooms. Mohamed worked with us to arrange rooms to accommodate all 3 of us. Food on the cruise and the all inclusive resort was okay, again nothing special. Buffet style meals hot and fresh. We never got the dreaded travelers diarrhea. Stayed away from salads and fruit. Traveling throughout Egypt was on a full sized tour buses. Bus drivers had water and pop for sale if you needed. Bus had a toilet for peeing only. Going to a country of different culture and language would only travel with a tour company.

AVOID REFLECTIONS TRAVEL AT ALL COSTS
I have traveled to over 50 countries over the past 20 years. I can say with certainty that Reflections Travel is the worst travel agency experience I have ever had. I encourage tourists to avoid this company at all costs if you would like to enjoy your vacation. I also encourage tourists to look more deeply into Reflections Travel's different tours and reviews (including those with one star) to get a more holistic view of this company and its shortcomings. To sum things up, we booked the Private Tour: 10 Days Pyramids, Nile Cruise & Hurghada by Air from Cairo in December 2022 for travel in April 2023. From the time we booked our tour to the last day of our tour, we were never given an itinerary of the 10 day tour. Instead were told that Reflections Travel was in high season, the office was closed, or they were short staffed and this is why they could not/would not provide us with this information. We were told that the tour would follow the itinerary listedTripadvisor. We had to call Tripadvisor several times to receive a minimal response from Reflections Travel. Once we were in Cairo, we were not communicated with regarding when the tour started, who was picking us up, what time we were going to be picked up, or where we were going. The onus was on us as guests to message in the Tripadvisor app or via what's app. Even with our many attempts, we were often ignored and not given a response. Reflections Travel contracts with separate freelance tour guides throughout Egypt, so we had different drivers and tour guides every day of the tour. This would have been fine, but the tour guides also had no information about what was on our agenda for the next day, so we were still left in the dark about itinerary until the last minute on a daily basis. Once we were told we were flying to Luxor and then later found out we were actually flying to Aswan. Another time, we were told our guide would be Shaimaa over what's app, we were told our guide would be Taye over the Tripadvisor app, and our actual guide that showed up was named Omar. There was complete disorganization and miscommunication or lack of communication throughout our tour. The tour was not private. It is advertised as private and we booked because we wanted a private tour. We did not get a private tour and others joined our group. The meals that were listed as included simply were not included. My mother, who I traveled with, has diabetes. More than an inconvenience, this was a health hazard when we were told we would be offered breakfast, and then we were not, and we were touring for a full day in 104 degree heat and she felt faint and ill. The sites that were visited were sometimes visited on different days, and most of the visits were not the length of duration listed on the website. Sometimes, a guide would try to fit two days of site visits into one day and every visit would be rushed and cut short. Overall, Reflections Travel was extremely disappointing. Tourism is the largest industry in Egypt. We would recommend doing your research and choosing a tour company with a large number of reviews that are all four or five stars. Avoid Reflections Travel at all costs if you would like a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. We wish we had.

Great Egyptian sites but poor tour company spoiled it
This trip started good with guide Amir for Cairo. He speaks good English and explained sites in Cairo. Few unnecessary stops in Cairo in shops. There was another person Ahmed Hassam from this company who was supposed to help with stay in Cairo. He sent car to go to Cairo airport that got lost in directions and we were late to flight to Aswan, barely made it. This guy sent us wrong tickets back to Cairo for last day in Cairo. In Aswan guide Ayyad was in charge. This guy can not speak english through he explained history as much as he could. He can not type text in English or follow simple directions or answer questions in English. This company is a bad tourist company. They show one schedule and follow another at their will. They put us kn cruise one day before schedule and that messed up whole program. We ended up for some attractions at 8 pm and had to go at night to see them. This tour schedule has a optional tour in middle in Aswan and you can either stay in hotel or pay large unreasonable amount for trip to Abu Simbal which is the main attraction. After paying also they did not get a private car as promised. Had to go in crowded bus that was delayed by 2 hours. The cruise quality was terrible - no TV and no wi-fi - leaking toilets and bad food. Other cruise ships were much better but this company put us in poor cruise. After cruise Luxor which is main attractions was split into wrong times and days. Finally we thought we will be okay now after cruise schedule mess up but again car to go to Hurghada was missing for 2 hours and wasted whole day in road trip reaching resort in Hurghada at night. The resort in Hurghada was good. The flight back to Cairo was supposed to be in morning but they put us on flight in evening wasting whole day in Hurghada where we had to check out at 12p. Ahmed Hassam had one job to manage trip in Cairo but he messed up again on last day. Sent wrong driver to pick up in Cairo airport only to find out that there was no room reserved in hotel in Cairo. Again after calls he got reservation settled in Passage hotel that had no food and dirty small room. Overall, though Egyptian sites are great, this tourist company spoiled it with unpredictable schedules and changes and mistakes. Their main contact person Goergina does not respond to any questions. Poor communication from beginning was a sign that we missed and ended up with this company.

An Amazing Experience
Reflections Travel (Sam) facilitated an amazing experience by taking care of all logistics and planning. In Cairo, my guide/ Egyptologist, Amir, was amazing. He was open to multiple questions, was very flexible and was a great photographer with the perfect shots/locations. The Nile Cruise was very enjoyable, and accommodations were very comfortable. Lots of history and culture that continued in Aswan and Luxor, while Mahmoud, an expert guide/ Egyptologist, provided a quality information and experience throughout. Hurghada was a great way to end the trip. A luxury resort on the Red Sea was perfect.

Private Tour: 10 Days Pyramids ,Nile Cruise & Hurghada by Air from Cairo: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.
How much does Private Tour: 10 Days Pyramids ,Nile Cruise & Hurghada by Air from Cairo cost?
+
Prices start at $300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tour: 10 Days Pyramids ,Nile Cruise & Hurghada by Air from Cairo take?
+
Plan for about 240 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.
Is Private Tour: 10 Days Pyramids ,Nile Cruise & Hurghada by Air from Cairo worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 36 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour: 10 Days Pyramids ,Nile Cruise & Hurghada by Air from Cairo?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Tour: 10 Days Pyramids ,Nile Cruise & Hurghada by Air from Cairo suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 240-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tour: 10 Days Pyramids ,Nile Cruise & Hurghada by Air from Cairo?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 240-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tour: 10 Days Pyramids ,Nile Cruise & Hurghada by Air from Cairo start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
