Miyuki was our great...

Miyuki was our great guide for this activity. It was a pleasure to spend the day with her. She was punctual, organized, and very accommodating. She tailored the day to our interests. She took wonderful care of us and made Tokyo a hundred times easier for this newcomer.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! Spending the day with your family—your husband who knows so much about Japan and your lovely daughters—is such a happy memory for me too. It was a hot day, but we visited so many great places! Too bad we didn't see any birds at Hamarikyu Gardens. Next time for sure! But I'm so glad you liked "Tonkatsu" restaurant in my neighborhood! There are still so many amazing places to discover here, so please come back to Japan anytime!! Next time, I’ll take you to some of my favorite secret spots. Your friend Miyuki

Highly Recommended!

What an amazing day in Tokyo with Hitomi!! We visited several spots around the City including the fish market, Harijuku, Shibuya and the Meiji Shrine. Hitomi gave us choices ahead of time and tailored our day to the sites we chose. We stopped for lunch at an incredible sushi place. Hitomi’s recommendations and tips made our day extra special. Her communication was phenomenal, and she helped us to feel comfortable everywhere we went! I highly recommend Hitomi as a tour guide when visiting Tokyo!! We would have been overwhelmed without her!!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind review! I was extremely happy to see you when you went to the Shabu Shabu restaurant which I recommended. Please come back again in the near future!

Tokyo Bike Tour Review

We had a magical afternoon riding through the streets of Tokyo with Thichi as our guide. The tour felt thoughtfully curated from start to finish—gliding past cherry blossoms in 2 different parks, weaving through quiet residential neighborhoods and charming hidden pathways, and making our way to the iconic Shibuya Crossing. One of the highlights was how seamlessly the experience blended biking with a quick hop onto the subway to see a famous painting with a fascinating story behind it, something we never would have discovered or appreciated on our own. We also explored the markets within the subway, which added a unique and local feel to the experience. The tour included vibrant city spots and a peaceful local shrine, giving us a real sense of Tokyo’s many layers. Thichi brought everything to life with his knowledge of the city’s history and his personal stories. We also met other lovely people on the tour, shared plenty of laughs, and felt completely immersed the whole time. It was the perfect balance of culture, adventure, and fun—an experience we’ll remember for a long time.

Private Tokyo with Exceptional Guide Tailored to Your Needs: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tokyo.

How much does Private Tokyo with Exceptional Guide Tailored to Your Needs cost?

+

Prices start at $5000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tokyo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tokyo with Exceptional Guide Tailored to Your Needs take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tokyo is not rushed.

Is Private Tokyo with Exceptional Guide Tailored to Your Needs worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 44 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tokyo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tokyo with Exceptional Guide Tailored to Your Needs?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tokyo with Exceptional Guide Tailored to Your Needs suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Tokyo with Exceptional Guide Tailored to Your Needs?

+

Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tokyo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tokyo and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tokyo with Exceptional Guide Tailored to Your Needs start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tokyo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tokyo?

+

Tokyo is less a city than a stack of neighborhoods with completely different opening hours. A guided food crawl through Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho gets you past the no-tourist curtains, while the day trips west to Hakone and Fuji need an early start to be worth the fare. Our ranking weighs guide quality heavily here, because in Tokyo the guide is the product. On Outty we rank every Tokyo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tokyo Shinjuku Chopsticks Making Class, Tokyo : Asakusa Chopsticks Making Class, Shinjuku Night Food and Bar Crawl. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tokyo?

+

Late March to May for blossom, October to November for clear Fuji views. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tokyo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
