Best guides and best experience in Angkor Wat.

We had an absolutely outstanding private tour of Angkor Wat with Chy and Long. From the very start, everything was seamless—they picked us up right on time from our hotel, which set the tone for a perfectly organized day. Chy was incredibly knowledgeable, not just about the temples themselves, but about Cambodian history and Khmer culture more broadly. Their explanations brought the sites to life in a way that you simply wouldn’t get exploring on your own. You can tell they are passionate about what they do, and it shows in every detail of the tour. Long took us everywhere. Waiting for us in the car with cold hand towels when it was 96 degrees outside and jungle humid was very thoughtful. Humble and affable guy. We spent about four hours together, and it flew by. Beyond their expertise, what really stood out was their personality—funny, kind, humble, and genuinely warm people. They made the experience feel personal and relaxed rather than rushed or scripted. They also went above and beyond to make sure we had amazing photos, always finding the best angles and patiently helping us capture great memories at each stop. If you’re visiting Angkor Wat, I can’t recommend Chy and Long highly enough. They truly made our experience unforgettable.

Great way to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat

We had an amazing tour. Or your guide was Mr Chy and driver was Phanna. The temples are mesmerizing and Mr Chy explained everything so well. And took so many amazing photos. Highly recommend the tour guide and driver and this tour company.

A wonderful way to experience some true highlights of beautiful Cambodia

We had the most incredible tours with Lux. His precise knowledge of timings and best places to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat really made the experience unforgettable for me and my family. We felt so well looked after by Lux and his driver, the cool water and towels at every stop were a game changer! Lux had a wonderful way of explaining the history and stories behind the sites to make it accessible for our children and us adults. Our second tour to the mountain and waterfall was really so special and we feel very lucky to have been shown this beautiful part of Cambodia. We highly recommend a tour with Lux.

Private Temples Guided Tour (Angkor Wat, Ta Prom & Angkor Thom): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.

How much does Private Temples Guided Tour (Angkor Wat, Ta Prom & Angkor Thom) cost?

+

Prices start at $18 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Temples Guided Tour (Angkor Wat, Ta Prom & Angkor Thom) take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.

Is Private Temples Guided Tour (Angkor Wat, Ta Prom & Angkor Thom) worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 83 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Temples Guided Tour (Angkor Wat, Ta Prom & Angkor Thom)?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Temples Guided Tour (Angkor Wat, Ta Prom & Angkor Thom) suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Private Temples Guided Tour (Angkor Wat, Ta Prom & Angkor Thom)?

+

Around 29 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Temples Guided Tour (Angkor Wat, Ta Prom & Angkor Thom) start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?

+

On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
