Incredible Experience
If "once in a lifetime" can be compressed into a few hours, this would be the best fit. As a first-time solo traveler, I was immediately welcomed by staff and felt at-home. I knew this was not going to be a class, but an experience. Learning the essentials of Tango was not easy for an American with little experience, but it was wonderful, and I learned much more than footwork. Cooking is a personal passion of mine, and to come to Buenos Aires and learn local recipes felt like a world of its own. Saul is a simple man, but he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge. We sat down to enjoy our dinner, and had conversations I had hoped I could have in my travels. This was not just a Tango and Cooking class. It was a bridge for travelers to learn what Argentina means, and what it means to be a student of life.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this beautiful review! It really means a lot to hear that the evening felt like more than just a class. That's exactly what we hope for—good food, good conversation, and a real taste of what life here is like, not just a tourist checklist. It was a pleasure having you at the table, especially as a solo traveler taking it all in on your own. Wishing you many more experiences like this one on your travels. ¡Un abrazo grande desde Buenos Aires!

BEST thing we did in Buenos Aires!!
What an AMAZING experience!!!! Learning tango and then later on in the trip going to a milonga was such a cool experience to see the steps we learned being actually used in the proper form. The cooking class with Saul was one of the best things we did in Buenos Aires. Everytime we go on vacation we rave about the food we had at a county but can’t come back and make it ever again. This changes that!! We will be making everything we learned and since he had us do each and every part, we know we can do it again. The class is super interactive and Saul is such an incredible host and teacher. Highly recommend taking this class from your trip as a truly one of a kind experience and creating long lasting memories from your trip.
Response from the operator: Hi! Wow—thank you so much for this wonderful review. I’m so happy you enjoyed learning tango, and how cool that you later went to a milonga and got to see the steps “in real life.” I’m also thrilled the cooking class was a highlight of your Buenos Aires trip. My goal is exactly what you described: a hands-on, interactive class where you truly learn each step—so you can recreate everything back home with confidence. Thank you again for coming and for recommending the experience. You’re always welcome back! Warmly Saul

Wonderful time at the cooking and Tango! Allergen friendly!!
Saul was a wonderful host, and Laura was a wonderful teacher! We had an amazing time learning the tango (having never done it before) and cooking and eating with Saul. Certainly one of our most memorable experiences in Argentina! Saul was easily able to handle my (troublesome) dietary restrictions and was an absolute blast to talk with. 10/10 would recommend!
Response from the operator: Hi Connor, thank you so much! It was wonderful hosting you and your partner. I’m really happy you enjoyed the tango with Laura and the cooking + dinner experience—and I’m glad the dietary restrictions worked out smoothly. Hope you have an amazing trip, and you’re always welcome back! Best, Saul

Charming experience was highlight of our trip
This has been the highlight of our Buenos Aires trip! The food is absolutely wonderful, not too hard to make, but extremely tasty! Saul is a delightful host, and we enjoyed our visit with him as much as the cooking experience itself. The tango instructor was fun and made for a memorable cultural experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! I’m delighted to hear that the cooking class, tango and dinner were a highlight of your trip. You’re always welcome back whenever you’re in Buenos Aires.

Delicious, Fun, and Full of Heart!
This experience was a highlight of our trip! The tango instructor was so patient and friendly—we’re not natural dancers, but we advanced more than expected and had a blast. The cooking class with Saul was even more wonderful. His passion for teaching really shone through, and we loved hearing about his journey to becoming a chef. The empanadas were the best we’ve ever had, and we’re excited to try his recipe at home. The beef was tender, the potatoes crispy, and the homemade ice cream was easy and delicious. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank a lot for your so nice review. Best wishes to both of you and always welcome back :)!

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Tango & Hands-On Argentine Cooking Class with Dinner: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Buenos Aires.
How much does Private Tango & Hands-On Argentine Cooking Class with Dinner cost?
+
Prices start at $169 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Buenos Aires usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Tango & Hands-On Argentine Cooking Class with Dinner take?
+
Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Buenos Aires is not rushed.
Is Private Tango & Hands-On Argentine Cooking Class with Dinner worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 38 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Buenos Aires, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tango & Hands-On Argentine Cooking Class with Dinner?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Tango & Hands-On Argentine Cooking Class with Dinner suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Tango & Hands-On Argentine Cooking Class with Dinner?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Buenos Aires can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Buenos Aires and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Tango & Hands-On Argentine Cooking Class with Dinner start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Buenos Aires within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Buenos Aires?
+
On Outty we rank every Buenos Aires experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Argentine Cooking, Wine & Beef Tasting at Argentine Experience, Historical Sherpa Food Tour of San Telmo with Street Food, Drinks, Cooking Class with Empanadas Steak & Flan by Argentine Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Buenos Aires?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Buenos Aires?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Private Tango & Hands-On Argentine Cooking Class with Dinner?
+

+
