Unique Personal Experience
Pro: -Speedboat guide was friendly -Took a lot of photos and videos (for sale) -Pointed out different things on the ride -Very personalized experience -Saw lots of fish and coral while snorkeling Cons: - Did not pick up at hotel lobby - we had to make our own arrangements to get the hotel security gate entrance to get picked up. Which was quite a ways from the hotel. - Pick up is not a van or bus, just a random person with their own vehicle -no clear instructions on your pick up and what to look for -no flipper or fins for snorkeling only the guide had them.

My wife and I paid for this tour, and while it was fun, we were told that it would be a 2 hour experience. We the captain only went for 1 hour. If you go on the beach and ask all the promoters, which there are many, they will all promise you that it is a 2 hour tour. But the captain insisted, after the fact, that it was a 1 hour tour. Don't go on any private experience because you will be scammed.

We had a great time
Pros: Transport was communicated and arranged clearly. Guide was great, took pictures and video, brought food to keep the fish interested and present while snorkeling. Snorkeling was my favorite part [would enjoy more time here than the natural pool]. Several opportunities to captain the boat, this was my husband’s favorite part. Opportunities to purchase pictures was appreciated. We skipped the shopping “opportunity” that was previously mentioned in a previous review. Our return transport was the same driver who waited during the excursion. All staff/guides very friendly. Cons: There was a wait for the boat which surprised us since it is a private tour experience. Only note: is that it is a small boat so climbing in and out could be difficult for some.

Terrible Experience!
Not a very good experience at all. We got out on our boat about 30 minutes after we were scheduled, then went to a shallow area to wade in and hang out, then moved to see 3 dolphins, which were just corralled in a small area which you could hardly see. Then finally moved to go out snorkeling which only lasted for about 20 minutes and then we went back to shore. Was supposed to be a 2 and a 1/2 hour experience which started late and ended early. the entire experience lasted about 1 and a 1/2 hours which included drive time to the areas. Very disappointed in the entire trip. Booked this to go out and do some snorkeling which was only about 20 minutes of the whole time. After everything, we ended up waiting almost 30 minutes for our driver to arrive because they weren’t ready and had “scheduled” us time to “shop at their store”. After the driver finally came we ended up then switching drivers half way back to the hotel right in the middle of the highway. Would not recommend at all.

Why this scores 42
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Speed Boat Experience with Snorkeling in Punta Cana: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.
How much does Private Speed Boat Experience with Snorkeling in Punta Cana cost?
+
Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Speed Boat Experience with Snorkeling in Punta Cana take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.
Is Private Speed Boat Experience with Snorkeling in Punta Cana worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 42 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.3/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Speed Boat Experience with Snorkeling in Punta Cana?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Speed Boat Experience with Snorkeling in Punta Cana suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Speed Boat Experience with Snorkeling in Punta Cana?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Speed Boat Experience with Snorkeling in Punta Cana start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?
+
On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Punta Cana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
