Whether you’re surfing solo or with others, private lessons provide a dedicated instructor for each student. This one-on-one attention allows you to catch more waves, receive immediate feedback, and progress faster. Beginners start with a 15-minute introduction covering safety, technique, and practice on the sand before entering the water. Intermediate, advanced, and experienced surfers head straight to the ocean after a short evaluation. We’re also the only surf school in the Punta Cana area offering lessons for all experience levels. Lessons are divided into two sessions with a short break in between, allowing you to rest and reset before getting back in the water.

Amazing time!
What a great set up! Beautiful beach. Great for us American novice surfers and kids. Great instruction and easy waves for beginners. Owner was super nice and the teams were great. Bring cash for the drinks and shops. Walk down the beach to public beach and snorkel by the cave. Don’t forget to tip the instructors!

Simply Amazing
The owner is amazing. Very kind, helpful and welcoming. The employees and surf instructors were also amazing. The surf instructors were very patient and encouraging as we were all beginners with no experience. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Spend the extra money and take the pictures! From pick up to drop off, staff and beautiful waters 10/10! We recommend Macao Surf Camp!

Unreal surfing experience! "Shaka" 🤙
I had an absolutely incredible experience with the Macao surfing lesson! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The instructors were not only super friendly and welcoming, but also extremely knowledgeable and patient. They made sure everyone felt comfortable in the water, no matter your skill level. The beach itself was beautiful, and the waves were perfect for learning. What really stood out was how encouraging the team was—they genuinely wanted you to succeed and have fun. Within a short time, I was already getting up on the board and riding waves, which I honestly didn’t expect! You can tell they’re passionate about what they do, and it makes the whole experience even better. I had such a great time, lots of laughs, and made some awesome memories. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Macao Beach—whether it’s your first time surfing or you’ve tried before. It was easily one of the highlights of my trip!

Amazing Surfing Adventure
This is my second time coming to the DR and surfing with Macao Surf Camp! Gustavo the owner is incredibly kind and welcoming! Sammy makes sure you are settled on arrival and comfortable. My guide Santiago was awesome!!! Always looking out for me to catch the best wave and keep me safe! Highly recommend this company!
