Very good skiing resort...

Very good skiing resort for beginners. It’s easy to find the way. Recommend to go earlier as afternoon gets very crowded. We arrived at around 9:30 which was good as there weren’t many people yet. You can also rent all the skiing gear including jackets and gloves and ski pants. They are not very expensive to rent. I rent my jacket for HKD $50 only. It’s good to have private car for pick up and return as we can adjust the time to leave accordingly and also leave everything in the car.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your detailed experience! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the resort and found it beginner-friendly and easy to navigate. Your tip about arriving early to avoid the afternoon crowds is really helpful, and it’s great to know the rental gear was affordable and convenient. The suggestion about having a private car for flexibility is also very practical. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share these useful insights!

Andy was the best!!! Not...

Andy was the best!!! Not only was he extremely patient with us, he would also throw in words of encouragement. By the end of the day, I was able to try out the intermediate course thanks to his guidance. Other than being such a great instructor, he was also super nice and friendly. Truly truly enjoyed his company, and his anecdotes about life in Seoul. Definitely looking for him again when we go back!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for the warm hearted review. Ms. Patricia. Andy is a very precious guide to us and We are very glad that you enjoyed our ski tour. We wish you good luck and happiness in 2015. When you come to Korea again, Andy and our all excellent guides will make you satisfied again.

Disappointing Ski Class Experience

Unfortunately, this ski trip did not meet expectations. Here’s why: 1. Inflexibility with Kids: They refused to allow my five-year-old to ski, yet still charged for a full adult lesson. This forced me to stay with her and limited my ability to focus on my other child, who also needed instruction. 2. Unengaged Guide: The so-called “guide” was more of a driver. There was no engagement or interaction throughout the trip, which made the experience feel impersonal and lackluster. 3. Unprepared and Inexperienced: The guide’s skills as a skiing instructor were questionable at best. He made basic errors, such as initially bringing walking boots instead of skiing boots, wasting 20 minutes switching them. He forgot ski poles and appeared disorganized. Despite having only one child to instruct (the rest already knew how to ski), he failed to effectively teach or engage, resulting in my child giving up. 4. No Real Classes: Ultimately, no one received proper skiing lessons. Those who already knew how to ski didn’t need him, while those who didn’t couldn’t benefit due to his lack of competence. My children and I ended up using sleds instead of skiing. This was a poorly managed trip with inadequate instruction and little consideration for the needs of families with young children. I wouldn’t recommend it unless they address these significant issues.

Response from the operator: Hi. Mr. Mohammed. We feel no good to hear that you were not satisfied with our excellent ski tour. Here is our response, along with what we heard from the guide and our comments. We will give you a number for the number you were given complaining 1. You could not get our tour concept even our guide precisely explained you when the tour start. We will let you know again. We have designated free of charge for participant from 0 to 5 years old as an infants. Unlike other tours that have 0 to 3 years old.. because we are not able to teach under 5 due to the lack patience from them. That is why you did not pay for your 5 years old daughter. You paid only for 4 person(your couple and 2 children).Right? Then, you should not complain about it. We will tell you this. Other tourist brought such a little children(Infunt: 0~5 years old kids) on this tour like you and one of the parents took care of kid. That is very normal behavior and common sense. Therefore, we thought you would do the same like others. Anyway, Our guide is not a your private nanny for your children. You've got a big misunderstood of it. 2. Our guide said He tried “interaction” with your family in the car and during the ski lesson but your members chatted between yourselves or took a nap all the time. No engagement or interaction doesn't make sense. Are you looking for a comedian or entertainer? 3. Here is our guide response. A ski rental shop worker made a mistake and gave me wrong shoes. And I was absorbed in checking your foot size then. I wonder why you also couldn’t distinguish between ski boots and others in spite of good skiers as you mentioned. I have already taught some Southeast Asian tourists of beginner level several times. Except for 6 years old, all played skiing well in the intermediate level. This tour is for the beginners like your daughter. I tried to make your 6 years old enjoy skiing, but she gave up and went to sled with you. And she enjoyed it very much as you saw. 4. This ski tour is not for the advanced but for the ski beginners. You and your 5 years old daughter didn’t even put on the ski equipment in order to go to the snow sled. And your wife and big son are already good skier. So they played intermediate ski course by them selves separately. The only one who I can teach was 6 years old daughter so our guide put a lot of effort her to make skiing. But, as We mentioned up there. SHE GAVE UP HERSELF. So, It is strongly believed that you were frustrated because you did not want to take care of your children at this tour and wanted to use our guides as your private nanny. This kind of bad review seems to be nothing more than a venting of anger about this. We often see people like you, making revenge us to use of writing bad review on this way. Now, as we enter the new year 2025, We would like to say one last thing. From now on, live in this world with a good heart. Thank you. Mr. Mohammed.

2nd time round just as good.

We went skiing with Outdoors Korea and Mr Kim Chance back in Jan 2020. We had such a great experience then we thought it would be great to book again with Mr Kim in Jan 2024. I’m pleased to say we were not disappointed. We got picked up early and were at the ski resort before it got busy, giving Mr Kim plenty of time to give us a refresher while the slopes were quiet. On our 2020 trip Mr Kim spent a good four hours teaching us the basics. This trip myself and the kids were ready to tackle the slopes solo after about two hours my wife had some additional coaching before joining us. Because we got to the ski resort early we had an hour or so’s skiing before lunch after coaching and over 4 hours after lunch. Mr Kim also sorted out our discounted ski passes again. It was great catching up with Mr Kim again and seeing that he got through COVID relatively unscathed. I can’t recommend Mr Kim or outdoors Korea enough. Mr Kim is a character We also booked a trip to the DMZ with Outdoors Korea.

Response from the operator: We appreciate very much your warm hearted kind review. Our guide Chance was also so happy to meet your family again and satisfied that your family learnt ski well. He said see you again ^^*

Private Ski Tour(Lesson) near Seoul at Elysian Gangchon Resort: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seoul.

How much does Private Ski Tour(Lesson) near Seoul at Elysian Gangchon Resort cost?

+

Prices start at $78 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seoul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Ski Tour(Lesson) near Seoul at Elysian Gangchon Resort take?

+

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seoul is not rushed.

Is Private Ski Tour(Lesson) near Seoul at Elysian Gangchon Resort worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seoul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Ski Tour(Lesson) near Seoul at Elysian Gangchon Resort?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Ski Tour(Lesson) near Seoul at Elysian Gangchon Resort suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Ski Tour(Lesson) near Seoul at Elysian Gangchon Resort?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seoul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seoul and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seoul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Seoul?

+

On Outty we rank every Seoul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include DMZ Tour: Defector Q&A, Tunnel & Suspension Bridge /Hotel pick up, Best DMZ Tour Seoul: Defector Q&A, 3rd Tunnel & Suspension Bridge, 2026 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best: DMZ Tour from Seoul. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Seoul?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Seoul?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
