A stress- free, informative and fun day!

Sean, our guide, was very friendly, organised and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful day visiting the fortress at Suwon, played some squid games and had an excellent lunch of fried chicken - delicious! We then visited Starfield library and Gwangmyeong Cave. Highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for leaving a wonderful review for Sean!! Now we can trust him even more, thanks to you!! :-)

Our guide Paul was nothing to write home about. He drove us to the 1st site and said he couldn't find parking but we could walk around for 45 minutes. At the 2nd site again no parking or it was far so he left us off and met us. He was walking us though when he got a phone call and was very involved in the call. When I asked what time the demonstration was he said 11 and kept talking (it was 11:05) we ran out of the temple to catch some of the demonstration. After that we went to (what I thought) was a traditional Korean folk village. It is not, it is kinda like a low budget epcot where the moved some stuff to create a time capsule of sorts. When we got there he said he was taking his lunch break and we would meet in 30 minutes. He walked us around for an hour or so then said that was where he stopped and gave us 2.5 hours to walk by ourselves. I would've rather caught an early train to our next destination. As arranged prior to the tour he dropped us off at Seoul Station but proceeded to tell us how much luggage we had and should travel lighter. Seriously I would pass on this tour. The amount of money it cost vs what we got left a bad taste

Response from the operator: I am so sorry that you had a horrible experience with him.. I was so much terrified to read what happened on that day. I guess you will never look for us again, but I hope you keep enjoying my beautiful motherland even more in the future with wonderful people. Lastly... Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. Now I got to know that Paul should not take any parts of our program any more.. I am so sorry I sent him to you.. And.. By any chance, if you happen to order any tour with us again in the future, I promise you will be treated like a VIP by either me or the most reliable tourguide I know. I wish you the all the best. Thank you.

Historical Sites on a Rainy Day

Andrew was EXCELLENT. He went above and beyond expectations. It rained the entire day of our tour and he was prepared with umbrellas for us. In addition, without us asking, at one of the sites he got a wheelchair for our mother who has difficulty walking. He was informative about Korean history which was helpful at the two sites we visited. For lunch, he offered several restaurant recommendations and the place we chose was one of the best meals we've had during our entire 11 day stay in Korea. The photos he took of us throughout the day were also a nice added perk. I highly recommend this tour and especially Andrew.

Private Tour around Suwon UNESCO Fortress and Korea Folks Village: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seoul.

How much does Private Tour around Suwon UNESCO Fortress and Korea Folks Village cost?

+

Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seoul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Tour around Suwon UNESCO Fortress and Korea Folks Village take?

+

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seoul is not rushed.

Is Private Tour around Suwon UNESCO Fortress and Korea Folks Village worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seoul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Tour around Suwon UNESCO Fortress and Korea Folks Village?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Tour around Suwon UNESCO Fortress and Korea Folks Village suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Private Tour around Suwon UNESCO Fortress and Korea Folks Village?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seoul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seoul and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Tour around Suwon UNESCO Fortress and Korea Folks Village start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seoul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Seoul?

+

On Outty we rank every Seoul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include DMZ Tour: Defector Q&A, Tunnel & Suspension Bridge /Hotel pick up, Best DMZ Tour Seoul: Defector Q&A, 3rd Tunnel & Suspension Bridge, 2026 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best: DMZ Tour from Seoul. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Seoul?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Seoul?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
