A great tour - highly recommended
My wife and I decided to book this walking tour as we wanted to experience Singapore in greater detail and learn more of its history and culture. With Rachel we certainly got that. She took us to places we wouldn’t have experienced had we simply tried getting around on our own. Rachel was very friendly and knowledgeable and we really enjoyed our time in her company. We couldn’t recommend this tour enough if you want to see the real Singapore!
Response from the operator: Barry and Sue, the pleasure was ours! Thank you for booking a half-day tour with us. We’re glad your visit to Singapore coincided nicely with our Chinese festivities, and even happier to hear that you enjoyed the cultural and heritage insights shared during the tour. Hope you managed to visit the gardens the next day too. (: Thank you for the lovely company and all the laughs along the way! We hope you’ll return to Singapore again someday. Warmest regards, Rachel

A detailed and amazing tour
Rachel was amazing from start to finish, reached out to me confirming Hotel I was at well as sharing weather info, met me in the lobby and started our tour, explained where Singapore started from, visited temples, chinatown, visited MND and how the city is going to be developed, all the street art and views over the city, a river walk and then the Merlion, that was all amazing, but its the extra details she sent me after, what to do, where to go, and of course, where to get Irvins salted egg chips from !
Response from the operator: Thank you Cy for your descriptive review of our walking tour. Hope you got to taste some delicious Irvins salted egg chips during your stay. Grateful for the opportunity to be your local host, introducing you to local insights and our city highlights. Wishing you many wonderful travel adventures and hope to have you back on a different walk with us. All best wishes, Rachel

Excellent tour guide - don’t hesitate to book Rachel
Our tour with Rachel was a fantastic experience for our party of four. Rachel was an absolute delight—so lovely, warm, and engaging throughout, and her English was great too. She provided lots of contact before our trip via WhatsApp to help us plan it, and she was wonderful at adapting the tour during the day to what we wanted. She took us to lots of non-touristy spots and hidden gems, and she is incredibly knowledgeable with lots of fascinating facts, making it a truly sweet and wonderful experience from start to finish.
Response from the operator: Christine, thank you so much for your detailed review of our private walking tour. It is truly appreciated. Our itinerary brings together some of Singapore's must-see landmarks, such as Merlion Park, the Singapore River, and the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple that we visited, alongside the heart of our local neighbourhoods and the stories of Singapore's diverse cultures. I'm heartened to hear that your family found the tour engaging and enjoyed the experience from start to finish. Thank you once again, and I hope our paths cross again if you ever visit Singapore in the future. Safe travels and best wishes, Rachel

Amazing girl, the best experience of my life

Great tour with an engaging guide. Well worth the money.
Great experience with a knowledgeable guide. She tailored the experience to match our needs. I traveled with my elderly mom who needed some breaks from the 90 degree (F) heat. Swee Lin’s knowledge of the city with its history and culture made for a fascinating walking tour. She was quite engaging and listened well. We got back to the hotel tired, hot, and happy, and would definitely book another tour with this company.
Response from the operator: Hi Elizabeth. Thank you so much for your kind words for Swee Lin and and for choosing to explore Singapore with us. Glad to hear that both you and your mom enjoyed the experience. Swee Lin is very thoughtful in adapting the pace and flow of the tour to suit each traveller’s comfort, especially in Singapore’s warm tropical weather. She always makes it a point to include sufficient rest and water breaks along the way so guests can enjoy the experience at a relaxed and comfortable pace. It means a lot to hear that her sharing of Singapore’s history and culture made the tour engaging and memorable for both. We’ll be sure to pass along your lovely compliments to her! Thank you once again, and we would be absolutely delighted to welcome you and your mum back for another tour in future. Warmest regards, Rachel

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Singapore Walking Tour: City Highlights & Hidden Gems: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Singapore.
How much does Private Singapore Walking Tour: City Highlights & Hidden Gems cost?
+
Prices start at $83 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Singapore usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Singapore Walking Tour: City Highlights & Hidden Gems take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Singapore is not rushed.
Is Private Singapore Walking Tour: City Highlights & Hidden Gems worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 102 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Singapore, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Singapore Walking Tour: City Highlights & Hidden Gems?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Singapore Walking Tour: City Highlights & Hidden Gems suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Singapore Walking Tour: City Highlights & Hidden Gems?
+
Around 36 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Singapore can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Singapore and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Singapore Walking Tour: City Highlights & Hidden Gems start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Singapore within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Singapore?
+
On Outty we rank every Singapore experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Singapore Highlights Small Group Bike Tour on Full-Sized Bicycles, Lion City Bike Tour of Singapore, Singapore River Cruise, Night Garden Rhapsody & Spectra by CYT. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Singapore?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Singapore?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
