Relaxing and enjoyable day
My guide Javaughn was great! He was sure to communicate with me about arrival time and picked me up promptly. His vehicle was clean, a comfortable temperature and was a safe driver. I was able to enjoy food from a wonderful spot on the beach before heading to Margaritaville. While there Javaughn made sure I knew the lay of the land before leaving and communicated about what time I would be ready to head to the next destination. He didn’t rush me and moved at my pace. As a solo female traveler I felt very safe and would recommend this excursion to anyone looking to have a great day without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

Javaughn is the best!
If you’re visiting Negril, do yourself a favor and book with Javaughn! From the moment I booked, he reached out to introduce himself and ask what we wanted our day to look like. That immediately told me we were in good hands. Javaughn was on time, professional, personable, and made us feel completely safe from beginning to end. We never felt rushed, and he made sure we enjoyed our day at our own pace. The excursion was amazing, but honestly, Javaughn is what made the experience exceptional. We enjoyed our day with him so much that we ended up using him for all of our transportation needs for the rest of our trip—another excursion, airport transfers, and even a local restaurant he recommended. And let me tell you…that meal was hands down the best meal we had in Jamaica. I’m so glad we trusted his recommendation. By the end of our trip, Javaughn didn’t feel like “our driver” anymore—he felt like family. That’s the kind of service you can’t put a price on. Thank you, Javaughn, for helping make my 50th birthday celebration in Jamaica so special. When we’re back in Jamaica, you’ll be our first call. Until next time…One Love!

7 mile and Ricks
Our trip was good. We were expecting a bit more after all the amazing reviews but it was pretty normal. Communication was excellent. We were taken to a small shop, then to the seven mile beach. There was nothing included so everything was a fee. We were allowed to stay as long as we wanted, then we were to Rick's. That was a fun place but again nothing was included. We enjoyed watching the cliff divers. We read all of the other reviews so honestly we were expecting a little more but the trip was good overall. We just had to figure everything out on our own.

Helpul Jamaican Tour Guide
Ivan was the best at helping prepare for our trip to Jamaica. We booked airport transfer and 7 mile Beach and catamaran tour with him. He helped answer questions outside of our tour and was honest and provided detailed information. He was punctual and had a very clean car. He was kind and we all enjoyed his service. Thank you so much Ivan! - Shradha =)

Why this scores 79
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Seven Mile Beach and Rick’s Café Tour From Negril Hotels: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Negril.
How much does Private Seven Mile Beach and Rick’s Café Tour From Negril Hotels cost?
+
Prices start at $70 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Negril usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Seven Mile Beach and Rick’s Café Tour From Negril Hotels take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Negril is not rushed.
Is Private Seven Mile Beach and Rick’s Café Tour From Negril Hotels worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Negril, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Seven Mile Beach and Rick’s Café Tour From Negril Hotels?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Seven Mile Beach and Rick’s Café Tour From Negril Hotels suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Seven Mile Beach and Rick’s Café Tour From Negril Hotels?
+
Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Negril can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Negril and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Seven Mile Beach and Rick’s Café Tour From Negril Hotels start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Negril within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Negril?
+
On Outty we rank every Negril experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Transportation and Tour from Montego Bay to Blue Hole/Secret Falls, Negril Glass Bottom Boat Tour Snorkeling and Booby Cay, ATV, Bamboo Rafting and Negril Ricks Cafe from Montego Bay. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Negril?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Negril?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
