We were met on time by...

We were picked up on time by a very friendly bus driver. We had booked a private quad bike tour and left immediately after the guide arrived. My daughter has never ridden a quad bike by herself, unfortunately she has not received any instruction or explanation. Instead, she was constantly shouted at by our guide in part in Russian. He seemed very aggressive and had no patience at all. I explained to him that it was her first time driving herself and asked him to be a little friendlier. It got better for a short time, but then the whining started again. At Echo Rock I approached other guides and explained to them that our guide is very unfriendly. Unfortunately, hardly anyone spoke English, many only Russian. Finally, a guide who spoke English told his colleague to be friendlier. This guide finally explained to my daughter how to ride the quad bike – after that it worked well. Our guide became a little nicer afterwards, but was constantly on the phone on the way back and didn't even say goodbye in the end. That's a real shame. On the positive side, however, I would like to highlight the very friendly bus driver and the nice staff at the camp. Unfortunately we were very unlucky with our guide, with another it would have been a nice trip.

    To flee

It’s a factory, they sell you 20€ the 4 scarves that are worth 2€ each, negotiated at 10€, it advertised 60 min of quad I think we had to do 20 min, we left, made 10 min of quad then 20 minutes of photos to buy for 25€, then 5 minutes again to go drink a tea , as we had chosen the camel option, tea was in fast mode. Then 5-10 minutes to come back. The quad tour is on quad highways where you take all the dust from the other quads, with plenty of bumps so not pleasant. You don't go into the Sinai mountains. It's clearly not charming.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We would like to clarify that this is a desert safari experience, and by nature it involves sand, dust, shared quad routes, and uneven terrain. These are environmental conditions inherent to desert activities and are clearly implied in the tour description. The itinerary includes total activity time, which covers riding time, safety instructions, rest stops, cultural experiences such as Bedouin tea, and optional photography stops. These stops are optional, and no guest is ever required to purchase photos or products. Prices offered by local vendors are not part of the tour and are always subject to personal choice and negotiation. The safari route is designed for safety and accessibility and does not enter restricted mountain areas of Sinai, which is also consistent with the advertised experience. We are sorry that the experience did not meet your personal expectations. We value all feedback and continue to work on clear communication so guests know exactly what to expect before booking. Kind regards, Stepway Tours

Private Safari Tour & Camel Ride in Sinai Desert of Sharm: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sharm el Sheikh.

How much does Private Safari Tour & Camel Ride in Sinai Desert of Sharm cost?

    +

Prices start at $26 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sharm el Sheikh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Safari Tour & Camel Ride in Sinai Desert of Sharm take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sharm el Sheikh is not rushed.

Is Private Safari Tour & Camel Ride in Sinai Desert of Sharm worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sharm el Sheikh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Safari Tour & Camel Ride in Sinai Desert of Sharm?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Safari Tour & Camel Ride in Sinai Desert of Sharm suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Safari Tour & Camel Ride in Sinai Desert of Sharm?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sharm el Sheikh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sharm el Sheikh and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Safari Tour & Camel Ride in Sinai Desert of Sharm start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sharm el Sheikh within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sharm el Sheikh?

    +

On Outty we rank every Sharm el Sheikh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sharm El Sheikh: Ras Mohammed Snorkeling, Allah Gate & Magic Lake, ATV Quad Bike & Camel Ride, Echo Mountain – Sharm El Sheikh, Sharm El-Sheikh: Ultimate ATV Quad, Stargazing & BBQ Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sharm el Sheikh?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sharm el Sheikh?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
