Peru, We will never forget you! 🇵🇪 🫶🏼
Hands down, best trip ever!!! Our tour guide was Franco and we couldn’t have had a better person to accompany us throughout our entire adventure. Franco is very knowledgeable on the history and modernization of Peru. He was so kind and accommodating to all of us. Gracias Franco for making this trip unforgettable! 😌

An unforgettable journey! Thank you Franco!
Some places leave a lasting impression because of their beauty, but it's the people you meet along the way who truly make a journey unforgettable. Franco was one of those people. From the moment our group met him we knew we were in excellent hands. Every day was thoughtfully planned, and his attention to detail, punctuality, and genuine concern for every person in our group gave us complete confidence that all we had to do was enjoy the adventure. We explored the heart of Cusco, wandered through the Main Plaza, neighborhood streets, and colorful local markets, then journeyed through the incredible Sacred Valley, the Maras Salt Mines, Moray, and the remarkable Archaeological Park of Ollantaytambo. One experience that will stay with me forever was visiting the MauCau community high in the Andes at over 13,000 feet. Standing among alpacas, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and experiencing the warmth of the local people, was something I will treasure for the rest of my life. And, of course, ending our journey in the charming town of Aguas Calientes before witnessing the wonder of Machu Picchu was simply unforgettable. What made this trip so special, however, was Franco. Our group ranged in age from 17 to 70, and somehow he made every single person feel valued, comfortable, and included. He answered every question with enthusiasm, shared his love and knowledge of Peru's history and culture, anticipated our needs before we even realized them, and always greeted us with kindness, patience, and a smile. By the end of the trip, Franco didn't just feel like our tour guide—he felt like a trusted friend who genuinely wanted each of us to fall in love with his beautiful country. Thanks to him, that's exactly what happened. Thank you, Franco, for sharing your heart, your knowledge, and your incredible country with us. You helped create memories that will stay with me for a lifetime. Peru captured my heart, and Franco was a big part of the reason why. If you're fortunate enough to have Franco as your guide, you're in for an extraordinary experience. Amigos por siempre!
Response from the operator: Dear Friend Thank you so much for such heartfelt words! We’re truly happy to know that Peru, its people, and these special experiences created memories that will stay with you for a lifetime. Your beautiful words about Franco mean a great deal to him and to our entire Kaypi Peru Tours team. Thank you for trusting us to share our country with you. Amigos por siempre, and we hope to welcome you back to Peru someday! Dom

Late pickup, dirty vehicle, and no refund for unused services
The pickup was scheduled for between 8:45 and 9:00 a.m., but the guide and driver did not arrive until around 9:30. At first, the guide did not want to come to our hotel and asked us to make our own way to the town center. Only after we refused did they finally agree to pick us up at the confirmed location. The vehicle was also very dirty, and the air conditioning was kept off. When we asked the driver to turn it on, dust and debris blew directly into our faces from the vents. Most importantly, our child became ill during the tour, so we had to cancel more than half of the planned itinerary. The driver and guide therefore finished their work much earlier than scheduled, and several included admission tickets were never used or purchased. Afterward, I contacted the tour operator and requested a reasonable partial refund, especially for the unused tickets and services that were not provided. The operator refused to offer any refund. I understand that unexpected illness is not the tour operator’s fault, and I was not expecting a full refund. However, considering that more than half of the itinerary was not completed, the tour ended early, and the related entrance fees were not used, I believe a partial refund would have been fair.
Response from the operator: Hello Jennifer. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry that your child became ill during the tour, and we sincerely hope they recovered quickly. We completely understand how disappointing it must have been for your family. We would like to clarify a few points regarding the circumstances of your tour: 1. Pickup in Ollantaytambo Due to the ongoing roadworks and heavy traffic restrictions in Ollantaytambo, pickup times are often affected. The town currently has only one limited vehicle access point, which frequently causes delays beyond our control. For this reason, we sometimes recommend meeting guests at a nearby agreed location, as certain hotels are difficult or impossible to access directly. We apologize for the delay and any inconvenience it caused. Regarding the condition of the vehicle, the roadworks around Ollantaytambo create significant dust, and despite regular cleaning, vehicles can become dusty during operation. We regret that this affected your experience. 2. Sacred Valley Tourist Ticket The Sacred Valley tourist ticket is purchased at the first archaeological site visited, which in your itinerary was Ollantaytambo. This is a single integrated ticket that covers several attractions and is issued by the local authorities. Once purchased and used at the first site, it becomes non-transferable and non-refundable, regardless of how many of the remaining sites are visited. 3. Maras Salt Mines Ticket The entrance ticket for the Maras Salt Mines follows the same policy established by the local administration. Once issued, it cannot be transferred or refunded. 4. Tour Operation and Refund Request Our guides and drivers are assigned exclusively to each tour and receive their full daily compensation regardless of whether the tour finishes earlier than planned. Once they have accepted a service, they cannot be reassigned to another tour during that day. In your case, the tour had already reached the two furthest destinations before your child became unwell during the return journey. Unfortunately, the decision to end the tour early was due to an unforeseen personal emergency rather than an operational issue. While we fully understand your request, the costs associated with the guide, driver, vehicle, and tour operation had already been incurred, and the entrance tickets are governed by the refund policies of the local authorities. We sincerely regret that your family's day did not go as planned. Although we were unable to provide the partial refund you requested due to these circumstances, we appreciate your understanding that your child's illness was an unexpected event beyond anyone's control. We wish your family all the best and thank you for giving us the opportunity to explain our policies. Kind regards, Kaypi Peru Tours

Why this scores 77
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Sacred Valley: Alpaca Farm, Maras, Moray & Ollantaytambo: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.
How much does Private Sacred Valley: Alpaca Farm, Maras, Moray & Ollantaytambo cost?
+
Prices start at $155 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Sacred Valley: Alpaca Farm, Maras, Moray & Ollantaytambo take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.
Is Private Sacred Valley: Alpaca Farm, Maras, Moray & Ollantaytambo worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 142 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Sacred Valley: Alpaca Farm, Maras, Moray & Ollantaytambo?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Sacred Valley: Alpaca Farm, Maras, Moray & Ollantaytambo suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Private Sacred Valley: Alpaca Farm, Maras, Moray & Ollantaytambo?
+
Around 50 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Sacred Valley: Alpaca Farm, Maras, Moray & Ollantaytambo start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cusco?
+
On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cusco?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cusco?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
