    Giverny Gardens with Eli

The whole trip was an amazing experience and I would definitely go again! The gardens were absolutely breathtaking since all the flowers have just started to bloom. Additionally, our tour guide Eli was incredibly knowledgeable about monet and his art and history! She was so happy and helpful and an all around joy to be around. The driver was also very kind too!

    Highly Recommend. Ask for Helen!

Helen, our young, smart-as-a-whip, energetic guide was fantastic! She and Igor arrived promptly at 8:30 and we were off. We went to Giverny first to try to avoid crowds and it worked well. Helen knew so much about Monet, his life, his art, etc., that it really made this a comprehensive experience. Crazy to see the inspirations for some of his famous paintings. Next stop Rouen. Fascinating to see the square where Jean d'Arc was burned and to hear the history of the times. We had a Michelin Star meal in the oldest restaurant in France, La Couronne. The Cote du Boeuf with Gratin Dauphinois was some of the best food we've ever eaten. Paired with a nice glass of wine, it was perfect. Helen met back up with us after lunch and we walked and talked while going under Le Gros-Horloge to Rouen Cathedral. I'm a cathedral buff so this was wonderful for me. More history from Helen while inside the cathedral! We headed back to our hotel after a full, satisfying day with Helen and Igor (who was awesome at keeping us safe on the roads and an awesome person generally as well) Great trip!

Great day trip to Giverny and Rouen

We had a great time for the day trip to Giverny and Rouen. Ilya was a superb guide with lots of information, especially on Monet during the Giverny visit. He is also a photographer so our pictures turn out good. His timing for each key attraction was perfect, just ahead of the crowd. The lunch in Rouen was excellent. Enjoyed the tour in Rouen also. Highly recommend for Monet admirers.

Amazing tour & guide - book now, you will not regret it!

We are seasoned travellers and have done many tours, including luxury tours, so our expectations are quite high when it comes to a good tour. This one has met and exceeded them! Our guide was Olga and our driver was Roman. Olga messaged us the day before the tour to make pick up arrangements, which was nice, and she and Roman arrived for the pick up promptly at the agreed time. The drive to Giverny was very comfortable and enjoyable with Olga telling us a few things about Paris, Parisian way of life, Giverny and Rouen. I could tell very quickly that Olga was super switched on (she knew exactly the information to tell us given we are not the first time visitors to Paris) in an entertaining and informative way. We arrived in Giverny early (thanks to our guide's planning!) and managed to avoid most of the crowds at Monet's house and gardens. Aker that we had a walking tour of Giverny village visiting a local gallery, a hat shop and the church where Monet is buried - all of great interest to us. The trip was nicely broken up by a leisurely lunch in Rouen at a Michelin star restaurant. The food was great and the restaurant, dating back to 1300s, a great historic place to enjoy a lunch at. Once finished with lunch, Olga rejoined us for a walking tour of Rouen and we got to see the old great clock, the Cathedral and the square where Joan of Arc was executed. Once again, Olga was able to tell the history in an engaging, easy to follow and an informative way. I could not recommend this tour and Olga high enough. The tour is not the cheapest available, but for what you get it is well worth it as it is completely customisable where everything is taken care of and you will end up absolutely loving your day with beautiful memories made for years to cherish. Do yourself a favour & book it!

Private Rouen Giverny Trip from Paris: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.

How much does Private Rouen Giverny Trip from Paris cost?

    +

Prices start at $265 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Rouen Giverny Trip from Paris take?

    +

Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.

Is Private Rouen Giverny Trip from Paris worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Rouen Giverny Trip from Paris?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Rouen Giverny Trip from Paris suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Rouen Giverny Trip from Paris?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Rouen Giverny Trip from Paris start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Paris?

    +

Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Paris?

    +

April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Paris?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
