What you'll see and do
Petra
Enjoy this Petra Wadi Rum Tour from Aqaba. You will be picked up from your hotel to start your Petra and Wadi Rum Tour. After that, you will be transferred by an air-conditioned vehicle for about 1.5 hours to the rose-red city of Petra. First started in the 6th century B.C. by Nabataean Arabs the city boasts beautiful facades carved directly into the walls of the mountainsides. Arriving at the visitor’s center it’s a 700-meter walk to the Siq entrance which is an impressive 1200 meter long gorge of a kaleidoscope of colors the towers more than 80 meters above you. As you exit the chasm you’re instantly transfixed by the beauty of Petra, chosen as one of the New World Wonders, the place speaks for itself. After your time at Petra, you make your way back through the Siq and head to lunch at a local restaurant. From there you take a one and half hour drive to the protectorate of Wadi Rum a sprawling desert landscape that impresses you at every turn. Made famous by the film Lawrence of Arabia, there are canyons and cliff, sand dunes and ancient rock glyphs. Finally, you will be driven back to your hotel in Aqaba.

Great Petra Personal Experience
Our tour guide was amazing. The professor was very knowledgeable in the tour. Went above and beyond to explain the history of Petra. Our driver to Petra was on of a kind, very friendly, humble, and kind. Highly recommend this personal experience. Just beware of souvenir shops prices in general.

Wonderful tour that I’d definitely recommend
We had Kamel as our guide and he picked us up at the appointed time by the tour buses. His English was excellent and his sense of humor was great. The tour to Petra more than met our expectations and our tour also included a lunch at a beautiful hotel as well as a 4x4 trip to Wadi Rum. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. They even called ahead and had a cart ticket for the one couple that needed it. So no waiting for them. Our small group was about 8-10 people.
Response from the operator: Dear Shamrockarse, Thank you for your wonderful review and recommendation. We’re delighted to hear that your day trip exceeded expectations and that everything was well organized from the start. Kamel will be especially happy to know you appreciated his humor and guidance — we’ll be sure to share your kind words with him. It’s great that you enjoyed both Petra and Wadi Rum, along with the smooth arrangements for your group. These small details are exactly what we aim to get right. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again in Jordan. Best regards, Guest Relations Team Jordan Horizons Tours

Private Petra Full-Day Trip from Aqaba City: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Aqaba.
How much does Private Petra Full-Day Trip from Aqaba City cost?
+
Prices start at $205 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Aqaba usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Petra Full-Day Trip from Aqaba City take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Aqaba is not rushed.
Is Private Petra Full-Day Trip from Aqaba City worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Aqaba, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Petra Full-Day Trip from Aqaba City?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Petra Full-Day Trip from Aqaba City suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 12-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Private Petra Full-Day Trip from Aqaba City?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Aqaba can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Aqaba and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Petra Full-Day Trip from Aqaba City start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Aqaba within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Aqaba?
+
On Outty we rank every Aqaba experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Diving Experience in The Heart of Red Sea in Aqaba, Wadi Rum Full Day Jeep Tour + Overnight & Dinner in Bedouin Camp, Diving, Snorkeling & Leisure Cruises by Boat. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Aqaba?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Aqaba?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
