Perfect day in Chengdu
We had an absolutely fantastic day with Jerrie! 🌟 The day began with a visit to the Panda Centre – an unforgettable experience! Afterwards we had lunch at a temple, far from the usual tourist trails, which made the moment special. Then we went to the local market to buy all the ingredients for our cooking class. In the cooking class itself, Jerrie guided us through the preparation of the dishes with a lot of patience and expertise. We can’t wait to recook the recipes in Germany! 🤩 Jerrie really made the day in Chengdu very special!! We can heartily recommend Jerrie and hope to see you again sometime. Thanks for everything!

Don't forget to tag @ChilliCoolChina in your photos - we'd love to see your panda and culinary journey! It was a pleasure having you with us, and we'd love to see you again in future tours. Panda zoo and cooking class
Our travel party of 15 went to the panda base zoo and experienced an afternoon cooking class with both Jerry and Lance. They were both kind and friendly. They accommodated our dietary restrictions (e.g. vegetarian) without an issue. Everything was run smoothly and they spoke English well. I would recommend this activity if you have time in Chengdu!
Response from the operator: Hey Friend, Thanks for surviving the heat in our Sichuan class! 😉 We hope your taste buds are still tingling and your wok skills are now next-level. Think you can handle even more spice? Come back and challenge yourself with our Advanced Sichuan Workshop! Share your “spicy face” photos with us using **#SichuanSurvivor** **#chillicoolchina**— our favorite each month wins a free class! Keep cooking bold! Lance Sichuan Cuisine Experience

Great experience with Panda's and cooking!
My friend and I had a fun and relaxing day out with our guide, Ocean! Thank you :) The pandas were adorable and Ocean was always able to find us the best viewing spot. We then had some local Sichuan snacks and noodles while enjoying some tea. It would have been better to have more time to sit and chat but we had a meal to prepare. The market tour was interesting and Ocean introduced us to all the different vegetables, meat and spices that are available. And to top off the day, we made an amazing meal! I would definitely recommend this tour with Chilli Cool China!
Response from the operator: Hi Friend, Thanks for giving us this wonderful review on Chilli Cool panda and Cooking Class. It's so kind of you! We are so appreciate it you gave this review to us. Ocean also had a good time with you guys. Please visit Chengdu again and contact us. Have a nice day! With best wishes! Chilli Cool China

Wonderful adventure; great guide
Our guide was "Ocean." She was engaging, very knowledgeable, and speaks excellent English. She knew everything about the Pandas. She took us to the nunnery for a fascinating vegetarian lunch with the nuns. She took us on a tour of a local produce market and explained it all to us. At the cooking school we made dumplings from scratch. A wonderful experience!

Why this scores 70
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Panda Tour with Cooking Class One-day Trip: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chengdu.
How much does Private Panda Tour with Cooking Class One-day Trip cost?
+
Prices start at $92 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chengdu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Panda Tour with Cooking Class One-day Trip take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chengdu is not rushed.
Is Private Panda Tour with Cooking Class One-day Trip worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chengdu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Panda Tour with Cooking Class One-day Trip?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Panda Tour with Cooking Class One-day Trip suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Panda Tour with Cooking Class One-day Trip?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chengdu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chengdu and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Panda Tour with Cooking Class One-day Trip start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chengdu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chengdu?
+
On Outty we rank every Chengdu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Chengdu Cooking Class with a Local Market Visit, Private Chengdu Day Tour: Giant Pandas and Jinsha Site Museum, Tuktuk Food Tour Through Chengdu's Local Eats. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chengdu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chengdu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
