Rome to Amalfi family trip

Salvatore and Ciro drove us from Rome to Naples/positano and back to Rome. Exceptional service, luxury ride with presecco to celebrate our family trip.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind review! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the comfort of your transfer and appreciated the experience from start to finish. Our goal is to make every journey along the Amalfi Coast relaxing, seamless, and memorable, so it is wonderful to know we met your expectations. We truly appreciate your trust and hope to welcome you back to Italy again soon. Warm regards, Marco Cuomo Dolce Vita Limousine

1 star.

Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced from a so-called luxury car service. I reached out via WhatsApp to request a quote, only to receive an incredibly rude response saying “Don’t contact us” and calling me “arrogant.” Shocked by such hostility, I decided to follow up via email with a professional request for a quote. Instead of a proper response, the owner himself, Marco Cuomo, replied condescendingly: “Absolute best rate? Absolutely the worst way to get in touch. Bye.” It is beyond unprofessional for an owner to insult potential customers instead of simply providing a quote or declining service respectfully. If you’re looking for a luxury car service that values professionalism, courtesy, and basic customer service, avoid Dolce Vita Limousine at all costs.

Response from the operator: Dear Vishu Patel, We are truly sorry to read this review, which unfortunately omits some key context. Our team handles every inquiry with professionalism and respect—but that also means we expect to be treated with the same courtesy. Your initial message simply stated, “absolute best rate,” which is not an appropriate or respectful way to approach a high-end, personalized service such as ours. We responded firmly but never rudely, pointing out that this is not the right way to get in touch. Unfortunately, your reply included extremely offensive and vulgar language, which we won’t repeat here out of respect for those reading. We have never insulted anyone—and we never will. However, we will always defend the dignity of our team and the standards we uphold. It’s precisely because we respect our clients and their expectations that we don’t tolerate certain behaviors. If we consistently receive 100% positive feedback, there must be a reason. We doubt that you would walk into a luxury hotel and ask for “the absolute best rate” in the same tone you used with us. Behind our service, there are people who work with dedication, passion, and professionalism every day—and we demand respect not only for ourselves, but especially for the clients who choose us, trust us, and continue to travel with us. We sincerely wish you all the best.

Amazing Transport!

Highly recommend. I arranged for 2 separate transports, one very last minute from Pompeii to Praiano. Pick up was extremely smooth. Excellent communication. My second transport was from my hotel In Praiano, the Amalfi coast back to Rome where I was flying home to NYC. Excellent vehicles and drivers. Manuel also gifted me a bottle of Prosecco for my birthday and Driver Antonio made a very long ride seem effortless. Both had amazing personalities and the experiences amazing. I will be rebooking on my next trip to Italy!

Great Experience

Dolci Vita was excellent. Our driver Antonio was prompt, spoke excellent English and was very helpful with recommendations in Amalfi and we stopped in Pompei for a fantastic pizza. Highly recommended!

Don't book a private car without looking at Dolce Vita!

If you are looking for a private car service from Rome to the Amalfi Coast, or the Amalfi Coast to Rome, I would highly recommend Dolce Vita. The were always early for the pick-up, and the Mercedes van we had was extremely clean and comfortable. From working with Marco on reservations, to our amazing driver Antonio (who I would highly suggest), the service was awesome. Antonio was able to give us so much information on the way down to Rome, including little unknown dining spots, that we just thought he was amazing. On the way back to Rome, he made we made a stop in Pompeii, and he knew exactly where to go to stay away from the big crowds. He wasn't only a great driver, but a very nice gentlemen, and made us feel very special. I will use them the next time.

Private One Way Transfer to Amalfi Coast from Rome: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.

How much does Private One Way Transfer to Amalfi Coast from Rome cost?

+

Prices start at $800 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private One Way Transfer to Amalfi Coast from Rome take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.

Is Private One Way Transfer to Amalfi Coast from Rome worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 40 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private One Way Transfer to Amalfi Coast from Rome?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Private One Way Transfer to Amalfi Coast from Rome suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private One Way Transfer to Amalfi Coast from Rome?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private One Way Transfer to Amalfi Coast from Rome start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rome?

+

Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rome?

+

April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rome?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
