Amazing tour and guide
Had an amazing tour and guide carol today. So welcoming, helpful and full of information. Terracotta Army was fascinating and interesting and was my favourite part of the tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much! We're so glad Carol made your tour amazing with her warm and helpful guidance—and that the Terracotta Army was your favorite part! Carol will be thrilled. Hope to see you again soon!

Fantastic Xi’an experience
They customised two days of sightseeing for us, collecting from the train station on arrival to dropping off at the end of the tour. We had a great time with our guide Judy. She is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable- also very flexible and when we said we wanted to buy tea she took us to a lovely place with a tea ceremony and no pressure to buy. Xian is amazing and exceeded expectations- of course the Terracotta Army is a “must see” but the pagoda and mosque were also very interesting. All highly recommended.
Response from the operator: Dear Sarh, how kind of you to share your wonderful trip by this detailed post! It gives us a great thrill to see you enjoyed your Xi’an tour. Your satisfaction is what we strive for. We look forward to serving you on your next vacation. Best regards from TravelChinaGuide Tours.

Steeped in history!
We had a great tour with Susan! She is passionate about sharing her knowledge of Xi’an with us and we were able to learn a lot from her. Her English is perfect and she welcomed any questions we had. There was a slight delay with our morning pick up due to unavoidable circumstances but she communicated promptly with our hotel to inform us.
Response from the operator: Dear Siobhan F, Thanks for having chosen TravelChinaGuide to operate your China tour and post such a lovely tour review online! From your words we are happy to know that you were pleased with your Xi'an tour with our guide Susan. In addition, it is pleasant that our guide did a good job to coordinate with the unavoidable circumstances in that morning. She is indeed a professional guide who is deserving of your praise. Thanks again for your kind support and we look forward to another opportunity to offer you tour services in China. Best regards!

Excellent tour and service
The tour company is highly recommended and are responsive if you contact them beforehand with questions. Our guide Susan provided excellent service and had vast knowledge of Chinese history and guided us to good spots to take photos or to view the Terracotta warriors better. She also went above and beyond to help us with other requests and was very kind.

We are also honored to learn that our guide Susan has provided excellent service to you and made your tour at the Terracotta Army smooth and understandable. We really appreciate your support and hope you will join us again to explore other highlights in China. Wish you all the best!

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private One Day Xi'an Terracotta Warrior Tour from Shanghai by Air: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Xian.
How much does Private One Day Xi'an Terracotta Warrior Tour from Shanghai by Air cost?
+
Prices start at $179 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Xian usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private One Day Xi'an Terracotta Warrior Tour from Shanghai by Air take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Xian is not rushed.
Is Private One Day Xi'an Terracotta Warrior Tour from Shanghai by Air worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Xian, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private One Day Xi'an Terracotta Warrior Tour from Shanghai by Air?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Private One Day Xi'an Terracotta Warrior Tour from Shanghai by Air suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private One Day Xi'an Terracotta Warrior Tour from Shanghai by Air?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Xian can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Xian and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private One Day Xi'an Terracotta Warrior Tour from Shanghai by Air start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Xian within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Xian?
+
On Outty we rank every Xian experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Xi'an Day Tour: Terracotta Army&Optional City Attractions, All-Inclusive Terracotta Army Tour with Premium Buffet Lunch, 2-Day Customized Warriors Tours & Xian Top Attractions. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Xian?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Xian?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
