    Oahu island Tour

John picked us up at our hotel in a beautiful and comfortable mini van. We had a full day visiting all the important sights of Oahu. He was very knowledgeable in the landscape of the island and how it was formed. He also knew everything about the plants and vegetation of the island. We stopped for lunch at a delicious place for Poke bowls. He is a photography buff and took wonderful photos of my husband and I and sent them to us free of charge. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour.

Response from the operator: Mahalo for the wonderful review! It was a pleasure spending the day with you and your husband and showing you around Oʻahu. I’m glad you enjoyed the tour, the poke lunch, and learning more about the island’s landscape, plants, and history. And of course, it was my pleasure to take some photos for you both! I’m happy you enjoyed them. Thank you again for choosing to explore Oʻahu with me and for recommending the tour. I truly appreciate it! Many mahalos, John

We had a great tour of...

We had a great tour of Oahu with John. John was punctual and after discussing what we wanted to see we set off for the day. We went to Waimea Valley, ate at Romy’s in Kahuku, saw Kualoa & Mokoliʻi, and ended the day at Nuʻuanu Pali Lookout. John shared his extensive knowledge of the region and its history throughout. Waimea Valley and the botanical gardens were the highlight for my parents as they enjoyed identifying familiar plants and learning about new ones. He also took great photos of us with his camera and I learned a lot from him about photography. All in all, I recommend this tour.

Response from the operator: Mahalo for the excellent review! It was a pleasure spending the day with you and your family. I’m glad your parents enjoyed Waimea Valley. I love it there! It was fun seeing their interest in the plants, they even taught me about some of them as well. Always great to learn new stuff! I’m also happy I could share a few photography tips and capture some photos for your family. Thank you again for choosing to explore Oʻahu with me. I truly appreciate the recommendation and hope you and your family have a wonderful time on your next adventure! Many mahalos, John

    Great tour! Awesome photos!

We really enjoyed John and his tour. He picked us up in a very clean well kept van. He asked what things were of interest to us and what parts of the island we wanted to see. We got to see a ton of highlights and he was incredibly knowledgeable! He knew a lot about history, plants, and mythology! He also offered to pictures of us at every beautiful overlook/stop. He has a really nice camera so the pictures turned out better than they would have with just our iPhone cameras. We had the BEST poke for lunch and malassadas for dessert! YUM!!! Really enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend John! 10000000000000/10.

Response from the operator: Mahalo nui loa for your amazing review! Reading your kind words truly made my day. I'm so glad you enjoyed exploring Oʻahu with me and that we were able to create an itinerary around the places that interested you most. Sharing the island's history, legends, native plants, and local culture is one of my favorite parts of being a guide. I'm also happy you enjoyed the fresh poke and malasadas! It was my pleasure to capture some photos of you along the way. Thank you again for your incredibly generous recommendation—and for the "10000000000000/10" rating! It truly means a lot. Mahalo for choosing Aina Explorer, and I hope to welcome you back to Oʻahu for another adventure someday. A hui hou! —John

Private Oahu Tour Customizable: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oahu.

How much does Private Oahu Tour Customizable cost?

    +

Prices start at $175 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oahu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Oahu Tour Customizable take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oahu is not rushed.

Is Private Oahu Tour Customizable worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 70 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oahu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Oahu Tour Customizable?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Oahu Tour Customizable suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Oahu Tour Customizable?

    +

Around 25 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oahu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oahu and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Oahu Tour Customizable start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oahu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Oahu?

    +

On Outty we rank every Oahu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oahu: Full or Half Day Grand Circle Island Tour, Oahu Small-Group Circle Island Tour with Turtle Snorkeling, Pearl Harbor Remembered Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Oahu?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Oahu?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
