Outstanding safari chasing the Northern Lights
Absolutely outstanding! Words cannot describe how amazing this adventure was! The guide was exceptional and just such a nice young man with local knowledge. This has been one of the best experiences of our trip through Arctic Finland and Sweden!

An amazing trip and experience
We were led by Juho-Matias who took us on an amazing trip. We went to two spots and got an amazing location to see the lights. Our guide was very helpful in giving guidance and help to people with their cameras and phones. He also took amazing photos of us in front of the lights. The four was well prepared and run, we we're all given tripods, seating matt's and flasks of hot drinks. We could not rate this trip and our guide more highly!

Best tour company for photographers.
We used 3 different tour operators while in Rovaniemi. Beyond Arctic was by far our favorite (we took 2 different tours with them... hiking through Riisitunturi and a private aurora tour). The pace was great and the guides did a great job with both the photos they took and with helping us take great photos. We really appreciated our private aurora guide's (Ville) time and attention teaching us the appropriate camera settings for astrophotography. Strongly recommend.

Awful
Awful. There was a snow storm and zero chance of seeing northern lights but they still insisted on us continuing with the tour because it was no refundable. I get non refundable, I signed that contract and will live by it . Hit insisting on seeing through a point less drive to see nothing is beyond crazy and perhaps reckless in the weather conditions. I would rather they would have been honest and acknowledged the conditions were terrible and recommend not going. The outcome was the same…ie they kept all the money I paid them. Good and honest business practices bring returns. Check out my other reviews, I mostly give good ratings where deserved, this was not one of those moments.

Our guide arrived on time to pick you up, but you had already decided not to join, assuming the snowfall in Rovaniemi would make it impossible to see the Northern Lights. Unfortunately, your assessment of the situation was incorrect. The snowfall was passing, and conditions improving outside Rovaniemi, but you chose not to consider this. That night, our tours drove about one hour away from Rovaniemi, found clear skies, and successfully saw the Northern Lights. By deciding to stay at your accommodation, you missed both the tour and the chance to see the aurora. We suggest trusting experienced local guides in the future, as their honest advice would have helped you fully enjoy the experience and see the Northern Lights.
