A Fantastic, Bespoke Family Day in The Hague with PJ
PJ was a fantastic guide for our day trip to The Hague. He made the whole experience feel really bespoke and had clearly taken the time to prepare in advance around what we wanted to see and do. He was particularly understanding of the children’s needs and was very flexible and easy-going throughout the day, which made such a difference for us as a family. He planned a great mix of sights and experiences without making the day feel rushed or overly structured. PJ was knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely pleasant company. We felt that the day had been planned specifically for us rather than following a standard tour itinerary. We had a brilliant day and would definitely recommend him, particularly to families looking for a more personalised and flexible experience.

Private Rotterdam walking tour with Harbor cruise
We had an excellent morning with our guide, PJ, exploring the highlights of Rotterdam. Some interesting places included the cube houses, shopping areas, Marketplace, harbor, churches- ending with a fun harbor cruise. It was the perfect balance of walking and sightseeing, and ending with the harbor cruise was great!
Response from the operator: thanks very much for your redview Goerganne, Happy to have lead you and your husband and friends in Rotterdam the other day! see you next time in the Netherlands, PJ

Great day trip
Our tour was great. The museum in Hague was wonderful. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable about the cities we visited. He brought us hot drinks and coffee flavored candy. The only thing I will caution about is to read the description of the tour related to the mode of transportation. Our tour guide met us at our hotel and we walked to the train. Transportation to the other cities is by public transportation not private vehicle. This caught us off guard but it was our own fault for not understanding the tour description. Overall, we had a wonderful day and would highly recommend this tour for a peaceful subway, train, and walk around Leiden and Hague.
Response from the operator: Thanks very much for your positive Review Ted . Yes our tours are based on public transport since it is very easy to travel around the Netherlands. Hope to see you next time around, Warm regards PJ

Very informative Netherland tour
PJ is an excellent tour guide. PJ met us at our hotel on-time, we took a short walk to the train station. PJ knew we were new to the train station in Amsterdam, he was very helpful, we now have a better understanding of how to get around on public transportation after the tour. PJ is very knowledgeable about the history of the Netherlands, he was very accommodating, I walk with a cane and he walked at my pace, he never made me feel rushed. PJ is a really nice guy, we thoroughly enjoyed his expertise and kindness. Our train going back to our hotel unexpectedly stopped, PJ had already left to go home, he came back to help us navigate a new different train back to the hotel, he didn't have to do that, we were so thankful. I would definitely recommend PJ as your tour guide.
Response from the operator: Hi Diane, what a great review! For me it was logical to have you feel that you have booked a great tour, even if it meant that I went out of my way! Happy to have helped you get the right train at the end as well ;-) All the very best and safe travels in Europe.. we will cross paths again, cheers PJ

College group trip
PJ was our tour guide while we were away with a group of floristry students. He was very informative, friendly and very helpful. I would recommend his services.
Response from the operator: Thanks very much for your review Amanda! I am very glad that the students as well as the teachers enjoyed the trip very much! Hoping to guide you next year as well! warm regards-PJ

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Netherlands guided day tour from your Hotel: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.
How much does Private Netherlands guided day tour from your Hotel cost?
+
Prices start at $98 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Netherlands guided day tour from your Hotel take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.
Is Private Netherlands guided day tour from your Hotel worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Netherlands guided day tour from your Hotel?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Netherlands guided day tour from your Hotel suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Netherlands guided day tour from your Hotel?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Netherlands guided day tour from your Hotel start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?
+
On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amsterdam?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
