You decide what to do and what not to do. - A geologist as a guide. - Amateur photographer, I will bring my camera and share the photos with you after the trip. - Child seats available if necessary. - Large car (SUV), but maximum four passengers. 20 minutes here
Teide National Park
Teide National Park is the most visited in Europe and ninth in the world. We will be in it for several hours and will see examples (in addition to those mentioned below), explained by the guide, of a multitude of geological and natural phenomena. It has the Teide-Pico Viejo stratovolcano which, at 3,718 m, is the highest peak in Spain. It rises 7,500 m above the ocean floor, is considered to be the third tallest volcanic structure in the world and stands in spectacular surroundings. The visual impact of the place is even greater due to the atmospheric conditions that create constantly changing textures and tones in the landscape and a "sea of clouds" that forms a visually stunning backdrop for the mountain. The global importance of Teide is that it is a vivid sample of the geological processes underlying the evolution of the oceanic islands.
180 minutes here
Mirador Minas de San Jose
Walk through one of the most special areas of the National Park, with an interesting history and an amazing landscape. There we will discover the geological history of Tenerife, marked by eruptions and the transformative force of nature, as well as magnificent examples of unique local flora of Teide.
40 minutes here
Los Roques de Garcia
One of the most photographed icons of Teide National Park. These impressive rock formations, shaped for millennia by volcanic erosion and wind, emerge in whimsical shapes in the middle of the Ucanca plain. From this enclave you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Teide and the volcanic circus of Las Cañadas, making it the favorite viewpoint in the park. Although we will also be in others more hidden... And why not, we'll have a coffee with the best views of the island.
60 minutes here
Valle de La Orotava
Created by a colossal landslide, the valley is today an orchard where banana trees and vines are planted and where life bustles. Spectacular views of the mountains, the sea, and the neighboring island of La Palma. Depending on the time available and your interests, we will visit a cafe with impressive views, viewpoints on the road or the beautiful city of La Orotava, with its palaces and beautiful historic center.
60 minutes here
Centro Historico De San Cristobal De La Laguna
UNESCO World Heritage, for being the first Spanish/American colonial city. Its historic center contains the first ideal “city-territory” drawn according to philosophical principles. Its wide streets and open spaces are flanked by beautiful churches and public and private buildings dating from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.

Best Way to See Tenerife!
Our driver and guide, Antonio, is a friendly, knowledgeable expert guide for Tenerife. We spent the day with him driving around the island, frequently stoping for pictures and discussing the history, geology, and social aspects of Tenerife. Antonio definitely knows the geology of the four kinds of volcanoes on the island. When you travel with him , you have the opportunity to learn and see almost anything that you request. Since Antonio allows his guests to set the pace and itinerary, you can have an amazing experience with him as you drive around Tenerife.

Amazing experience
We had an amazing day with Antonio. He took us to many beautiful stops in Teide national park, shared his detailed knowledge of the geology and gave us a huge amount of information about Tenerife. He went out of his way to show us many magnificent and stunning views, and was very generous with his time. Thank you so much, Antonio!

Great tour, highly recommended!
We had a great tour with Antonio. He is proactive with communication ahead of time, prompt, friendly, kind, and very knowledgeable. We took his suggestion to start the day early and it was well worth it to beat the crowds in the national park. We saw some beautiful landscapes, learned about the cultural and natural history, had lunch at an authentic local spot, and overall just had a really enjoyable day.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your nice words. So happy you enjoyed the island!

Let's do it again!
My wife and I are genealogy buffs and enjoyed the facts shared by our knowledgeable tour guide and the beautiful sites of the island. It was just us and appreciated the tour guides special attention. Going to mountain top, seeing the lush greenery, the clouds below and the cool temperature, it was no wonder we called the island truly blessed. The personally guided tour made all the difference.
Response from the operator: Thank you! Come back soon!

Why this scores 71

Private nature and culture tour of Teide and northern Tenerife: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.
How much does Private nature and culture tour of Teide and northern Tenerife cost?
+
Prices start at $178 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private nature and culture tour of Teide and northern Tenerife take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.
Is Private nature and culture tour of Teide and northern Tenerife worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 33 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private nature and culture tour of Teide and northern Tenerife?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private nature and culture tour of Teide and northern Tenerife suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private nature and culture tour of Teide and northern Tenerife?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private nature and culture tour of Teide and northern Tenerife start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tenerife?
+
On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tenerife?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tenerife?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
