This slot canyon adventure offers endless beauty at every turn, from narrow corridors just 20’ wide to open chambers glowing with reflected sunlight. After the scenic 1-mile paved Riverside Walk, you’ll wade through the Virgin River, surrounded by towering sandstone walls that rise 1,000’ overhead, hanging gardens, and Mystery Falls. Water height varies, with many areas below the knee, but some sections that are waist-deep for most adults.

Loved every minute of it
We had an early morning in Zion NP to meet our tour guide Kelsey for The Narrows at 7 AM. You don’t necessarily need a guide to do this, but I preferred one not just for gaining park knowledge, but also to be with someone who knew the terrain of walking through the Virgin River in The Narrows and Kelsey did not disappoint on both counts. We had a great time! I was worried about being cold but the water felt very refreshing. It’s a “can’t miss” activity at Zion NP. 😃

Worth the time and effort
What a great experience! Dean was a fantastic guide and really understood that the experience was the most important agenda item. But he also had a keen eye to point out wonderful picture sites! Going early am might be a challenge for some, but the instructions on what to wear and bring were spot on (and you’ll not be bothered with large crowds on the outbound side). Would highly recommend!
