“Guided Tour Sold, Driver-Only Offered”.
We booked and paid €650 in advance for a small-group guided tour to Mont Saint-Michel expecting the exact experience that was advertised: transportation, a professional guide, and a properly organized small-group tour. Two days before the tour, the company informed us that we were the only two guests booked. From that moment, THEY were the ones strongly insisting on canceling the tour — not us. They repeatedly pushed for cancellation because they did not want to operate the tour for only two people. Their proposed “solution” was to remove the guide entirely while keeping essentially the same price, despite knowing they were no longer providing the experience originally sold and advertised. To be very clear: we did not decide to cancel simply because we changed our minds. We agreed to the cancellation only after the company repeatedly pressured us to do so and after they admitted they could not provide the original guided experience we had already paid for. We only accepted the cancellation under the condition of receiving a 100% refund due to their insistence on canceling the tour. A company should not advertise and charge for a guided small-group experience, then attempt to replace it with a driver-only service at nearly the same price without offering a fair adjustment. What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of proper communication regarding the refund afterward. We had to continuously follow up while receiving delayed or minimal responses. A professional tour company should either:• honor the original booking,• offer a fair price reduction for reduced services,• or process refunds immediately and transparently when they cannot provide what was advertised. Unfortunately, this experience created unnecessary stress during our trip to Paris and felt very unprofessional. Future travelers should be cautious before booking.
Response from the operator: We offer both Private experiences and Small group tours up to 6 people. By Small groups if we have got not enough travellers we discuss with the travellers different solutions. We offered this clien to make this tour for the same small group price for just two of them with Private Mercedes car with experienced driver including the English guided tour in Mont Saint Michel made by the Abbey's guides. This would be a good solution. Another option was to make a Private Guide update or book a similar trip with another company. This traveller refused both options and writes the second review about this trip which did not take place creating unnecessary stress.

Worth the drive!
Wow!...what a day! Yes, there is a lot of driving, but if you bring portable chargers for devices and pillows...you will be great. Our tour guide and driver were excellent. The rest stops were planned well, the lunch restaurant is quaint, and the tour of the Mont was solid. It is such an amazing place to see and if you are vacationing in Paris and don't have the time to stay in Normandy, then this is the tour for you.

Never again
NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY. Absolutely 1 star. Driver came on time and car was clean, comfortable. However he was not aware that the tour was with 3-course lunch. There is no reservation anywhere. 1st restaurant was closed. They told us it will open in 30 min. Btw google star 3.6.. Second restaurant was open and we got seat. However we needed to make sure driver was responsible for the meals. He had NO IDEA what was going on. He had to call the office and figure out how much he can spend. It was 29 euro per person. Meal was average. Again, NOT WORTH FOR THE MONEY YOU PAY for the tour Btw In the tour description it sounded like lunch was supposed be in the Mont Saint Michel but no such a luck. It was located near the bus stop. Driver then took us to the bus and guide us to the Mont Saint Michel. Took us through the street to the check in area for the abbey tour. From there we took normal abbey tour. Tour was worth experiencing. We had some time to walk around after the abbey tour and it was great. However you can do that with any other much less expensive tour. I DO NOT recommend this tour.
Response from the operator: We read it carefully and passed it to our driver. The customer wanted to upset our driver who served them 14 hours long driving 750 km and having made all services with one minute Lunch delay. You have succeeded. The driver is upset. The customer was not happy mainly about the tour price and this is the main reason for One Star Review. The customer had "clean comparable Mercedes, coming on time" Lunch was included and "we took normal abbey tour. Tour was worth experiencing. We had some time to walk around after the abbey tour and it was great." Regarding Lunch our driver has called the office to be sure it was included because most travellers prefer trips no lunch included. It took One minute. The traditional French restaurant LaFerme is a very nice one with very good kitchen. To the island travellers can go by shuttle bus only. Alternative would be a 40 minutes walking which was not the case. This review the customer wrote mostly about him-her-self and its behaviour having got all services and having rated them mostly as good gave at the end the lowest rate just to hurt just to compensate the price paid... We don't recommend this customer to travel agencies and tour operators. Never again

This was one of the...
This was one of the highlights of our stay in France. Although it was a long ride, the stop for lunch in the countryside was a lovely break — and the food was delicious. Mont Saint-Michel was absolutely stunning, and having a private tour guide made exploring the town much easier and more meaningful. If you’re short on time in France but want to experience this incredible place, I highly recommend this tour.

No Show
This tour was a NO CALL/NO SHOW, we ended up being able to receive a full refund after contacting Viator Support with messaging proof that this tour never showed up for pickup and never responded to any of our messages. Not sure what happened here but I would hope in the future if they are unable to fulfill and tour for whatever reason, that they send a cancellation message. We had to wake up at stupid thirty to get ready for this and waited for over an hour for a response after the pickup time and then had to wait another hour or so for Viator to confirm that pickup never happened before they could refund we could move on with our day.
Response from the operator: It is a very strange review and a very strange story. We contact the travellers one day before the travel date confirming the Pick up details. It is our standard. It is an expensive Private Experience with a very high rating. We have got no unanswered calls on our company's mobile phone and Whatsapp. If we miss a call for any reason we call back or respond with SMS. We don't see any refunds for this product Private Mont Saint-Michel Trip by Mercedes from Paris with Lunch. On details provided we don't see if it can be related to our company or not. A very general report. Please check up who was the local provider on your Ticket

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Mont Saint-Michel Trip by Mercedes from Paris with Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.
How much does Private Mont Saint-Michel Trip by Mercedes from Paris with Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $265 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Mont Saint-Michel Trip by Mercedes from Paris with Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 14 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.
Is Private Mont Saint-Michel Trip by Mercedes from Paris with Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Mont Saint-Michel Trip by Mercedes from Paris with Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Mont Saint-Michel Trip by Mercedes from Paris with Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 14-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Mont Saint-Michel Trip by Mercedes from Paris with Lunch?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 14-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Mont Saint-Michel Trip by Mercedes from Paris with Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Paris?
+
Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Paris?
+
April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Paris?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
