Good fun half day tour.
Great afternoon fun, first visiting pig island, stopping for some snorkelling, then another island for lunch! Private longboat in bad weather coming home was a white knuckle ride, but a good holiday experience - and friendly guide and captain.
Response from the operator: Dear lizbefm, Thank you for your wonderful review and for choosing The AnyWhere.tours Team for your half-day tour! We're so glad to hear you had a great afternoon of fun visiting Koh Madsum and Koh Tan, and enjoyed the snorkeling and lunch. We appreciate you sharing your experience, even the "white knuckle ride" home in bad weather – it certainly makes for a memorable adventure! We're also happy to know you found our guide and captain friendly. Best regards, The AnyWhere.tours Team

Nice outing on the water
The boat ride, islands and lunch were fantastic! The pickup communication was difficult and the van had no air conditioning. The return trip was good.
Response from the operator: Dear KristiD23, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your Private Longtail Boat Tour to Koh Madsum and Koh Tan. We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed the boat ride, the islands, and the lunch! We appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention, and we would like to provide some clarity regarding the points mentioned: • Vehicle Air Conditioning: When you messaged us, we checked with the driver immediately. He noted that the air conditioning had been turned off because the windows were open at the time. We recommend keeping windows closed to ensure the system can cool the cabin effectively. • Communication: Our team maintained contact via WhatsApp leading up to the start of your tour to ensure all details were confirmed before you departed. We are happy to know your return trip was smooth, and we thank you again for choosing us for your time in the islands. Best regards, The Thailand Tours Team

Excellent tour
Very good experience with seeing the pigs in the island. The boat driver gave enough time to do everything and also good vibes with the music on the boat

We didn’t like the pigs...
We didn’t like the pigs as there wasn’t much to do on the island beyond giving them water or buying them food, other than a bar. Snorkelling was good and was shallow with a good variety of fish and coral.
Response from the operator: Dear Philip_S, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your Private Longtail Boat Tour to Koh Madsum and Koh Tan. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the snorkeling, but we're sorry to learn that the experience with the pigs on Koh Madsum wasn't to your liking. We appreciate your honest review and will take your comments into consideration. Best regards, The AnyWhere.tours Team

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Longtail Boat to Koh Madsum (Pig Island) & Koh Tan: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Koh Samui.
How much does Private Longtail Boat to Koh Madsum (Pig Island) & Koh Tan cost?
+
Prices start at $51 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Koh Samui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Longtail Boat to Koh Madsum (Pig Island) & Koh Tan take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Koh Samui is not rushed.
Is Private Longtail Boat to Koh Madsum (Pig Island) & Koh Tan worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Koh Samui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Longtail Boat to Koh Madsum (Pig Island) & Koh Tan?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Longtail Boat to Koh Madsum (Pig Island) & Koh Tan suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Longtail Boat to Koh Madsum (Pig Island) & Koh Tan?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Koh Samui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Koh Samui and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Longtail Boat to Koh Madsum (Pig Island) & Koh Tan start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Koh Samui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Koh Samui?
+
On Outty we rank every Koh Samui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angthong National Marine Park VIP Small Group Tour, Cooking Class in Koh Samui with Micro Organic Garden, Half Day Elephant Home Sanctuary in Samui. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Koh Samui?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Koh Samui?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
