What you'll see and do
Once you arrive at Slims Fish Camp, we will have the boat in the water and ready to go. Slims has free parking, clean restrooms, and ice drinks with snacks. If we're going to use live bait, then it can be purchased here as well. Once everyone is ready off we go to start the fishing trip.

Once out on Lake Okeechobee, you will hopefully catch a trophy fish, but most importantly have fun and learn a lot about the lake. Wildlife can be seen most of the day, everything from Otters, Alligators, Manatees, Snakes, and all kinds of birds. Once our time is up, we will return to Slims marina once again!

Torry Island is the only inhabited location on Lake Okeechobee and has camping, picnic tables, and walking trails. Once you have completed your fishing trip, don't hesitate to look around a bit!

Great time out on the water
We are 2 women who love to fish. We spent 3 days with a super guide —Mark Rose. He had us on fish every day and took great pics which he sent to us at the end of each day. He gave us some great pointers and instructions as we were fishing. We will be back.

Great Day - Okeechobee Fishing
Our thanks to Captain Galen Fugh for an awesome day of fishing, guiding us to various spots around the lake, and teaching about some of the techniques used to catch great fish. Captain Galen was a great guide, a very friendly and personable guy with lots of humor and good conversation in his style, and he provided excellent equipment, knowledge, and guidance. We caught a ton of great fish and had a beautiful day.
