Best tour in Georgia!!
This was, without a doubt, the highlight of our trip to Georgia. Aka is a brilliant tour guide - extremely knowledgeable and able to answer all of my boyfriend’s many, many questions... The tour is very well organised, with short drives between each stop and plenty of time to explore and absorb the culture and history at each location. One of our favourite moments was stopping for bread at a local bakery, where three locals joined us, offering extra food and a shot of chacha. It felt like a truly authentic experience - one we’ll remember for a long time. The wineries themselves were excellent, with the opportunity to try both European and traditional Georgian styles. The Georgian-style winery was our favourite - the PetNat was amazing! Beka, who runs the winery, is a big personality: funny, knowledgeable, and incredibly engaging. His mother prepared the best meal we’ve had so far - we could easily have spent hours sitting with Aka and Beka, chatting about everything from wine to cars, rugby, and politics. We’re already planning our next trip back and thinking about how we can spread the word and bring this wine to the UK!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much Megan. Hope to host you someday soon.

Amazing tour organized by Aka
Wonderful tour ... our guide Aka was amazing and very knowledgeable, he told us so many great stories about Georgia. The private wine tasting organised by Aka was the highlight of our day. Tour not too be missed.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your positive words.

Beautiful surroundings
We enjoyed our full day food and wine tour with our tourguide Ako. He is a well educated guide who makes it easy to get an overall insight of the history of Georgian culture. The Wine tastings, cheese tasting, traditional bread baking, makes a very nice setting.
Response from the operator: I'm glad you enjoyed the tour with me.

Amazing 4 day trip of Georgia - Akaki is the best !
My wif.e and I did a 4 day tour with Akaki and he was awesome. Picked us up from the Armenia border, did a walking tour of Tbilisi, suggested a great traditional restaurant for dinner, then took us to Telavi for wine tastings, then Sighnaghi for a night and back to Tbilisi after a tour of Mshteka and Chronicles of Georgia. Akaki was professional, friendly and full of stories and interesting anecdotes. He is a super smart guy - originally an accountant/finance guy but chose to become a tour guide because he loves interacting with people and learning ...so it was fun to chat with him. Highly recommend ! 👌
Response from the operator: Thank you very much Sumit! It was nice to host you and your wife in Georgia.

An unforgettable Georgian experience with Aka!
Our tour with Aka was absolutely amazing! He’s not just a tour guide - he’s a truly inspiring, educated, and fascinating person who makes you fall in love with Georgia through his stories, knowledge, and warm personality. The tour itself was beautifully balanced - not too intense, just the right pace to enjoy every moment. The wine tasting was wonderful, but the highlight was definitely visiting a local family vineyard, where we experienced the most authentic and delicious Georgian meal we’ve ever had. If you’re looking for the best way to discover Georgia, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Aka. You’ll get more than a tour - you’ll get memories for a lifetime. 🇬🇪🍷❤️
Response from the operator: Thank you very much Yana!

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Kakheti Tour organic Wine Tasting with Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tbilisi.
How much does Private Kakheti Tour organic Wine Tasting with Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tbilisi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Kakheti Tour organic Wine Tasting with Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tbilisi is not rushed.
Is Private Kakheti Tour organic Wine Tasting with Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tbilisi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Kakheti Tour organic Wine Tasting with Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Kakheti Tour organic Wine Tasting with Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Kakheti Tour organic Wine Tasting with Lunch?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tbilisi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tbilisi and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Kakheti Tour organic Wine Tasting with Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tbilisi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tbilisi?
+
On Outty we rank every Tbilisi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tbilisi:Evening Walking & Talking Tour with Wine & Boat Ride, Kakheti Wine Region Tour + 10 Premium Wine Tastings & Sunset, Tbilisi:Mtskheta,Jvari,Bazaar, wine tasting,Chronicles of Georgia. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tbilisi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tbilisi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
